Summary: The P8Z77-M Pro is what I’d call the worst board in the P8Z77 lineup and the worst ASUS board I’ve reviewed in a while. While that sounds like I’m slamming it, I’m not. The board is a good board. But the bar has been set so high in the series that a board this good leaves me feeling "meh" about it. It is still head and shoulders above most other boards I’ve tested using the Z77 Express chipset.
Summary: Hardcore enthusiasts often need more PCB real estate for their massive graphics cards arrays, fancy network controllers, sound cards, etc. Not all enthusiasts are alike. Some prefer a smaller simplified approach to computing. While light in features, this solid mATX board may suit the needs of those not looking to build a hulking tower.
