Summary: This motherboard has been great for over a year, but very recently I started running into strange issues with the USB ports (all of them). It started as intermittently my Das Keyboard would stop working after booting to windows occasionally, and a simple unplug, replug of the USB cables fixed it. After replacing a bad video card, I noticed that my keyboard wasn't working at all anymore once booting into windows.
Summary: I purchased this board in January of 2012. I installed an Icore7 2600 3.4 Ghz Intel Chip and 16gb of memory. I did find that it is best "urgent" to use a fluid cooled system on the chip. This machine is fast and flawless. There are multiple adjustments and tweaks to make this machine run just about any combination of drives, speeds and performance one could hope for. I am retired and usually have the machine on 24/7 at least for a good portion of the time.
Summary: I love this board, it has been a wonderful experience with my i7-2600K processor, 32 gb RAM, Corsair H100, 2 DVD drives, solid state drive and a regular drive, along with a Dell U2412M monitor. The onboard video chip is more than enough for what I use my computer for. I don't game, but do a lot of audio recording, a ton of multi-tasking, watching videos, using photoshop and working with my digital pictures, and maintaining a website.
Summary: Delivered on time and in perfect condition. The installation manual is clearly presented with the connections properly illustrated. First-time builders would do well to watch some video presentations on the Web to gain a sense of confidence before forging ahead. But building a computer is not a dark science.
Summary: What I like: Good layout, plenty of usb/sata connections, easy to navigate bios, trouble free 1st boot. What I didn't like: Nothing to report here about the motherboard, all good. The way Amazon shipped it to me is another story... it was thrown in a larger box with minimal packing, and the mobo box was smashing around in there with an Intel CPU box during shipping..
Summary: Good Board and above average, UEFI BIOS is nice, not overly thrilled about this board. Contacted ASUS support a few times over noisy sound output not much help or concern or ease of access to good ASUS support. If you are an ASUS brand loyalist this is the right board for you. But wished I went with the eVGA equivalent.
Summary: The only reason why i gave it 4 stars is because ASUS does not have 24/7 support. I am unable to call them about some issues, such as. After loading to the desktop, a pop said that my windows is not geniune? i tried reactivating it and it said that there was an error. Another thing is that my power button from my old computer does not fit on the piece within the motherboard.
