Summary: Purchased from Amazon outlet. Great price. Motherboard was in excellent (like new) condition. Did have original bios but flashed to latest ROM without a problem. Booted first time with no issues. None. Fast and stable. Downloaded latest drivers from Asus and all devices enumerated. Used for HTPC build using onboard Intel graphics. So far, excellent. Typical Asus quality.
Summary: I ordered and received this motherboard in a timely manner. I installed all parts that were brand new out of box but the pc would not boot. I took the pc into a local ASUS dealer and was told that the motherboard is bad. I then processed the return and Outlet PC refunded me in a timely manner as well.
Summary: Excellent motherboard. I used it with a Core i7-2600 with 16 GB of RAM and a 6 Gbps SSD. Does an excellent job. Extremely stable. It is one of the few motherboards on the market with E-SATA, and HDMI and Displayport video out. This motherboard will probably become obsolete once Z77 motherboards become widespread, but it is working great.
Summary: No, I really did not wish to give this product one star, but Amazon won't let me submit the review without checking something. I would prefer a zero. I have built up several computers, using Asus boards. After my first I was very satisfied and I liked such features as the ExpressGate, which are extras. This time I had a processor croak jihad style, so I needed to start over.
Summary: I built my main computer about six months ago using a more expensive ASUS board with the same Z68 chipset. I'm comfortable with ASUS and its BIOS, and debated between this and the LX board. I like this board, esp the fact that it has 8 SATA ports (7 on the board and one eSata). And while I didn't need the MicroATX form factor, it was OK.
Summary: I have to agree with Nelson Minar's review: the hardware is great but the drivers leave a lot to be desired. Linux: The Realtek LAN driver has a problem with auto-negotiation, this can be fixed by specifying a manual configuration, IP address etc. It seems that this is a long standing bug with the default Realtek Linux drivers. Summary: Bought this board for a new gig I built. I consider myself semi-professional and has been building PC for over 15 years. Asus once again have met my 5 stars expectation on this board and all components worked out of the box. No hardware of software issues were found 10 days into using it.
Summary: Been building PCs since college for 15 years. Built this into a micro-ATX Thermaltake Lanbox case with an i5-2500k and it was one of the smoothest builds I've ever had. Locked up once when the overclock was too high, but waited it out and it rebooted, reset to standard settings and dropped me back into the EFI to try again. SSD caching was piece of cake to set up...way easier than I expected. Runs cool and stable...Srsly have zero complaints.
Nice board, a fine choice for a modern Linux kernel

Summary: No problems booting with my custom compiled kernel ( linux 3.2.1 ) . The Onboard Ethernet works great with r8169 drivers. Everything I have tested so far works but haven't tried every single port on the board yet.
Summary: I just got this board for a Linux server. It's an impressive board, nicely laid out and a good price. However the Realtek 8111E ethernet adapter included on the motherboard is not well supported by Linux kernels. On my system, the ethernet interface doesn't come up until 10-200 seconds after system boot. There's a lot of discussion on this bug online but no clear fix.
