User Review

Robert C., Newegg
5 March 2013
  • Pros: Board worked for over a year. good perfomanace
  • Cons: motherboard went bad but they agreed to replace it. Sent forms in to their cross ship department in CA. They lost the forms (I verified they were received by fax). Never notified that they were never received until I had to waste my time to check. Resent forms. Again no response. Again had to cal...

I think AMAZON sent a defective motherboard.

Rafael Farias, Amazon
8 January 2013
  • Summary: The motherboard has great quality components and has very good specs unfortunately I could never make it work. I bought it at Amazon LIKE NEW and after a long time to get the parts and install them, note that the processor pins were bent, as I did not check when opening the package I did not think...

ASUS P8Z68 Deluxe/Gen3

Sherman V., Newegg
15 April 2012
  • Summary: I'm surprised that Newegg is still selling this board. Even though it is a fairly new board ASUS no longer lists this board... http://usa.asus.com/Motherboards/Intel_Socket_1155/Intel_Z68 . They have only had one BIOS upgrade. I don't think ASUS plans on supporting this board.
  • Pros: This is a fairly good motherboard.
  • Cons: Tech support is nonexistent. USB 3 ports for the front box are only USB 2. The rear ports show USB 3. When I contacted ASUS (through e-mail) The tech e-mailed me that they have no other reports of the type of problems problems that I was having. He suggested that I reinstall the software. I had a...

Jerry A., Newegg
26 February 2012
  • Summary: MY RIG: Intel I7-2600 Asus P8Z68 DELUXE/GEN3 Asint DDRIII 2GB-1333 (2X2) (1) EVGA Nvidia 560 Super-Clocked Corsair H60 Antec TRU-Power 1000w PSU
  • Pros: Tons of features, the error code readout is a huge help!
  • Cons: Where do I start? System fails to boot when I insert memory in DIMM slots 1&2. Even after hitting the "MEM OK" button the system still will not post! Slots 3&4 currently operate but total system memory is 4GB's, instead of 8 GBs? Software utilities on DVD wont install from either the DVD or Asus ...

Awesome Board. TERRIBLE SUPPORT

Thomas G., Newegg
6 February 2012
  • Summary: Seriously, I pay so much for a high-end mobo and the customer service is HORRIBLE! I would have rather spent $100 on a gigabyte board so long as I don't have to deal with this incompetent customer service.
  • Pros: Almost everything works, but when you pay this much it should be seamless.
  • Cons: I was able to get everything to post perfectly fine. high quality componenets. But when I went to try and update the BIOS through the EZFlash 2 in the BIOS, I get an "image integrity check failed" on the ROM downloaded from the ASUS site... NO idea what that means. SO I try to call customer suppo...

Worst Experince With This Board

Jerome N., Newegg
24 September 2011
  • Summary: Peace of mine think very carefully before getting this board. I would not want anyone to go through this problem I had. I am now switching back to Gigabyte and I am giving EVGA some thought.
  • Pros: The board is presented very well, the components are put in the right order. The cooling is not a Problems with this board.
  • Cons: For the cons I am giving this Board a 1 Egg because after a week the board decided that it was time to go. I got an AE Error that prevented me from logging into windows. Found out that the memory banks in A2 and B2 are dead. I tried setting the DRAM manually but got no response.
