Summary: Works perfectly in my custom storage array. Got the ASUS because I found out the hard way that Gigabyte motherboards don't wait for RAID cards to start up properly, which buggers up the OS installation sequence. I needed something that would fit my NOFAN CPU heatsink, with a PCIe slot far enough away from the CPU. Make sure you buy a board with B3 stepping, otherwise your on-board SATA3 ports will be unreliable.
Summary: I see pa pattern emerging in my buying experience. ASSUS products appear to be getting excellent ratings by me. I really think they are doing something different from the competitors in the manufacturing and quality assurance.
Summary: Installation was a breeze. I was really amazed when it booted up on my first start without any problems. Its been awhile and it is still functioning to its potential.... I haven't had to do anything to it yet. I had forgotten about writing a review for this motherboard, time just slipped by. Out of sight out of mind. Great board.
Summary: I purchased this board for my son as a Christmas present in a Microsel "Unlocked & Overclocked Core i5-2500K 4.4 GHz Pre-Configured" bundle with an i5 Intel processor, 8 Gb of Corsair Vengeance RAM and a Corsair liquid CPU cooler. This was supposed to be a "plug and play" preconfigured bundle.
Summary: I would highly recommend this mobo. It had all the features I wanted and more at a good price. Installed corsair vengeance (blue) ram in it and the colors match perfectly. If possible but a case with a black interior it will make all the blues really pop. This mobo makes over-clocking so easy. Simply enter the EFI bios and click on the setting you want.....That is it you have over-clocked the CPU....It is that easy.
ASUS rocks - overclocking made simple update BIOS though!

Summary: I haven't built a PC for a very long time, well over 20 years - and I decided to try it one more time, and chose ASUS for the motherboard. GREAT motherboard. Simple to overclock, very intuitive BIOS (UEFI mouse-driven) is pretty to look at and simple to navigate. You can do a basic overclock for dummies in the bios, or you can install the AI Suite software into windows 7 (64 bit) and let ASUS engineers do a trial-and-error overclock to discover the highest speed your...
Summary: Do not buy this mainboard if you want SLI - it does not support SLI as it's supposed to be. feeling so bad like i was cheated when I can't get my 2 brand new vga work together - that was bios problem.
Summary: I ended up having to buy another power supply for this board. It takes an 8-pin power. Most of the time you can get away with the 4-pin connector, but it didn't work for me. I also overlooked the fact that it has no IDE (ribbon) connector for something like my older DVD-RW.... So I need to get a SATA drive. The bios is pretty easy to navigate, and has both easy and advanced modes for the tweakers. Not the most fully featured board, but good for the price.
Summary: I bought this mobo back in April and was very hesitant even though the first revision (B2 version) was highly regarded among many tech sites and had glowing reviews on many websites. This board was in high demand when the SATA ports issue got resolved and Intel reissued new chipsets.
