Summary: My previous mobo ate it, and I had to get something quickly with limited funds, so I took a chance with this puppy and an Intel i5 2500k and 8gigs of ddr3 ram from Corsair. That was six months ago.
Pros: It seems to be a great MoBo does everything I want from it.
Cons: It does NOT have an onboard usb 3.0 header which I didnt pay attention to when I was buying this and my case. So i have a case with usb 3 on the front and no usb 3 on the board. My fault on this one i should have payed more attention
Summary: I bought this board to upgrade from a Core2Quad/ Asus P5N-E SLI to a Core i7 2600. I have 2 nVidia GTS450 cards. This board can use my 3 monitors, but not in nVidia Surround, as it does not support SLI. I couldn't check on the CrossFireX support, but Asus says that it is supported.
Pros: Good layout, PATA!!, 2 PCIe slots, BIOS easy to navigate
Cons: Does NOT support nVidia SLI! This should be stated on NewEgg's website, but it is not.
Summary: First time Newegg has ever let me down. Nooooooooo! Well, no one's perfect.
Pros: Great mobo; easy to install and use.
Cons: At the time I purchased this board and at the time I am writing this, this board only supports 1600 OC: you must overclock to get the 1600 speed. Refer to the ASUS website for compatible RAM to be used in an OC config. The manual confirms this.
Pros: Mostly works as advertised - the bios is great and easy to use. Detected most of my hardware without a problem. Nice passive cooling elements = less noise :)
Cons: The IDE port did not work under any configuration with my old IDE optical drive. With the old drive connected the bios would not even load. I had to buy a new SATA drive to alleviate this issue. There are also minor boot priority issues. The bios would not allow me to use my SSD (connected to the...
Summary: Mecahanicaly, it was an easy install. My Power supply took some figuring out as I had to plug two cables into the PC power slot as my supply had a CPU1 and Seperate CPU2 power leads. Some head scratching there, but all worked OK.
Pros: Fast fast Intell I-7 and 16gig memory, Win 7 Pro. Boots from power on to IE home page in 1 minute 15 seconds Vs my Win XP with a 3 gig Prescott P4 taking close to four minutes. Outlook retriving Email is about five times as fast. Rhino 3D speed is also a major imporvement.
Cons: I'm not happy with the BIOS. 1>It starts with the screen Del to enter setup. So you hit Del. it then checks for disk and then goes back to the screen Del to enter setup. This time. the Del works and you get into setup. 2> Force Boot only reads the boot record on that disk and leaves the C disk as...
Pros: Its a great MB, I really like the bios setup that is easy to use and you can use a mouse to make changes to your setup. Its an Asus with the latest P67 chipset and its at a great price.
Cons: The first one I got was defective and I had to use neweggs RMA. The other is that it has two driver configurations for your hard drives which I think is what caused the problem with the first one, they should have just stuck with the P67 driver.
