User Review

Mario R., Newegg
14 September 2015
  • Summary: I know ram is always an issue, but for me MSI was better in that arena than asus. This board came from the east coast so if you want it just under a week get the 3 day shipping and avoid fedex smartpost that newegg does under free shipping...or call them to make sure where it shipped from.
  • Pros: Everything works at default settings 1333Mhz. Small form factor, yeah its dated but for me I was looking for something that was a space saver. This is a so-so board with descent parts.
  • Cons: Shipping was Horrible. I love the Newegg window shopping experience but they lack the info. where its coming from within the u.s. and shipping took a long while. I'm stuck with this board, I'm ok with that, but at least I can buy 2400mhz and it should run at 1333mhz. The stated 2200mhz OC does se...

DOES NOT WORK WELL WITH G SKILL MEMORY

Joanne P., Newegg
6 March 2014
  • Pros: This is a good board and does what it should do at its price point, but it has problems with stability if you don't use the proper memory. Otherwise, the board handled well.
  • Cons: I tried the board with two types of G SKILL memory, and had serious issues. The G SKILL ripsaws were better than the G SKILL modules without a heat spreader, but I still had intermittent crashes. The G SKILL memory without the heat spreader was very very unstable. Corsair memory seemed to work re...

Poor customer support

15 March 2013
  • Summary: I tried to contact Jeffery (above commenter) per email address listed above, to see which graphics card would be best suited for my system and got no reply. I installed a TPM module and when I tried to install the driver the program said it could not find the module.

  • Summary: I had a problem with the first MB it would not post. I contacted Amazon and they had a new exchange the next day. Amazon 6 out of 5 stars but Asus 2 out of 5. I have installed Asus MB all the time and I have never had a bad broad out the box. This makes 3 in a row.

Inexpensive, poor onboard video

Jason B., Newegg
6 December 2011
  • Summary: Not a bad board overall. If they could sort the Intel video problems, would be a winner.
  • Pros: Nice features, small form factor, on board video, lots of usb ports, pci-e x16 slot. Very cost effective.
  • Cons: Could not get the onboard Intel video drivers to work with Windows 7 x64. Tried every different driver I could find, and kept getting resource in use errors. Threw in another card, and extra card worked right away. What's the point of on board video if you can't get it to work right? This is the ...

So-so

Matt P., Newegg
17 November 2011
  • Summary: Buggy drivers and poor entry-installation left me hanging with multiple BSODs (none of which detected Motherboard drivers as the cause). So if you are using this, and finding yourself flooded with BSODs, go to the Asus Website and download the Asus AI Suite II to attempt to get everything that is...
  • Pros: -EFI BIOS -Easy installation -Good layout, though USB and SATA connectors are awefully close to interfering with Video Card and HDD placement in my case -Plenty of USB ports
  • Cons: -No USB 3.0 -Asus Support disk is lousy, and the installed browser that updates the BIOS is constantly stuck at "Connecting..." -Asus Website has incredibly poor support for this board and just about any other component they make
