Summary: This is a budget motherboard. That means that it doesn't have fancy features like SLI support but if you're looking for a motherboard to run a single PCIe x 16 GPU and don't want to spend a lot, I'd definitely recommend this. I got this because I bought a premade "gaming" computer made by Acer. Well, that was my first mistake. NEVER buy a premade gaming computer from Acer. They don't support third-party hardware so as soon as you go to upgrade the GPU, you're beat.
Summary: great little motherboard with some nice features, well worth the money if you plan to make an everyday use computer, or do some gaming. overall really impressed with this motherboard. i cant really think of any cons, except one tiny minor one...i prefer back plates that are colored and labeled in a way that is easy to read. this one is very basic. this is a tiny complaint, and is only cosmetic..
Summary: Can't beat the price. Good, sound, basic board. If you aren't looking to overclock and just want the basics in a motherboard for a reasonable price then this one is for you.I built a system for a friend who didn't need a power system. I had an old i5-2500K CPU and a 450 watt power supply, so this board was the one for him. Bought the case, memory and other components from Amazon as well. Total cost $387.00 and he is a happy camper.
Summary: The new Windows 8 computer with the this mother board, a pentium 860 cpu (1155 socket), 8 gig memory and solid state drive (SSD) is exceeding all our expectations in terms of speed, cool running and ease of installation. Programs that used to take many minutes to open (QuickBooks) now open in 5-7 seconds.
Summary: I have built myself a HTPC for the lounge with this component. So far, so good. You don't need to invest in something more expensive than this, unless you are building your system for gaming. First product was deffective, the sound card did not work. Amazon replaced it promptly.
Summary: Nothing amazing about this board except that it's going for a great price and is fully functional. If you're not planning to use the extra features of a higher end Z77 chipset then this is a great board. Installation into the case was simple and the manual is easy to follow in terms of ports, etc. Just be aware that it only has 1 6Gbps SATA port so if you were planning multiple SSDs/HDDs you might want to look into a board with a few more 6Gbps SATA connections.
Summary: ...but first one was a dud - Amazon excellent with replacement. Made in China rather than Taiwan unlike all my other (faultless) Asus boards. Q.C. issues? A bios update (from 501 to 701) may solve that problem. Very fussy on ram (must be xmp). Other than that it's brilliant. Quite a bit smaller than some m-atx boards, and B75 chip a gem unless cpu overclocking. UEFI interface very slick.
Summary: This is a brilliant motherboard in the £50 price range. I would definitely recommend this over a H61. It has all the important specs covered: SATA 3, USB 3, good connectivity and solid capacitors. This looks and feels like a quality product and ASUS motherboards have a good reputation for reliability. I love the mouse controlled BIOS and this motherboard does not have the awkward edge mounted SATA connectors of other ASUS boards.
