Summary: The SATA default setting is IDE, even with the newest BIOS! Why in the world would the default be IDE in a modern board? Poor design.
Pros: I purchased two of these for home/office applications for friends. Both boards work very well... one of the perfectly with no issues. The 2nd board had faulty sound, it wouldn't work despite much tweaking. The buyer was in a hurry to get the system, so I was forced to install a really nice HT Omega card that I had. Suddenly the build became much more expensive for me. Docking an egg for that problem.
Cons: Defective/non-working sound on one out of two boards.
Pros: I've built alot of gaming computers for myself and friends, but not like this one. The BIOS alone is impressive which gives you real comprehensive control of the main system attributes that a high end computer user would typicaly want control over, such as overclocking. The BIOS makes it simple as could be to do so. The performance is outstanding. Can't say anything about the onboard graphics because I'm using my own GPU. Audio is great (detects if a jack is pluged in...
Cons: Things are kinda compacted but duh, It's a Micro ATX. I guess I just wish things could be orientated different. Such as my GPU card smothers the only 2 PCI slots. Being things are really close together. I'd recommend a well ventalated case. Although the temp. controlled fans have never gone above an idle.
