Extremely rugged unit

JJM, Amazon
27 December 2013
  • Summary: I have run this system 24/7 for years now as a video server/recorder. It is likely discontinued now but if you find an older one and it fits your needs then go ahead and get it. Just keep in mind that it is not really a 6G unit (the Marvel add-on 6g unit is poor).

Would of gave it a five star if it wasn't broke in the package.

12 April 2011
  • Summary: A spring loaded pin that held one of the heat sinks was broken. I removed one from my Gigabyte board and installed it. But other than that it's a great board..

Great motherboard if only there where more PCI slots

Ebay
1 December 2010
  • Summary: First of all I would like to say this is another quality board by Asus using the LGA 1156 socket Intel chip sets. Unlike most other boards released at the time of this board's release in late 2009, there were few if any other boards out there that have USB 3.0 support simultaneously with SLI.

Good mobo, annoying noise

Shrek, Amazon
28 September 2010
  • Summary: This otherwise very good motherboard loses a star because of the incredibly annoying high-pitched whine it generates unless one of the power save features is turned off in BIOS. I returned it once, only to find that the replacement (from an entirely different production batch) had the same problem.

MISSING CONTENTS

JITENDRA VYAS, Amazon
4 August 2010
  • Summary: The user's manual page 2-34 has details of IEEE 1394A connector and on page 2-35 USB connectors, these are missing from the package contents. What is the point of having the installation instructions if these connectors are missing.
