[Review] ASUS P7P55D-E PRO – A Step Above (UPDATE 8/11)

9 August 2010
  • Conclusion: The real winner here is not the Intel chipset, though the Intel-based board did come out ahead in a lot of ways. The real winner here is ASUS. Most people take for granted integrated audio. Many believe, with the advent of multi-core processors, that there is no need for dedicated sound cards or at least a better solution.

Asus LGA1156 P7P55D-E Pro Motherboard Review

9 August 2010
  • Conclusion: Asus P7P55D-E Pro offers all the standard features you'd expect on a motherboard in this price range and keeps pace with the other LGA1156 boards we've tested, falling within a couple of percentage points one way or the other in our series of benchmark suites. It also offers USB 3 and SATA 6G, although the former is arguably more useful, and the price is competitive with other boards in its weight class.
  • Pros: Good Price/Feature Ratio, Enthusiast-level BIOS Options
  • Cons: A few oddly-placed components, Small RAM quirks

ASUS P7P55D-E Pro Intel P55 LGA 1156 Motherboard Review

16 March 2010
  • Summary: Conclusions Asus has a large number of P55 motherboards available…I counted at least 16. Of those, five are in the same product line as the P7P55D-E Pro, with this board square in the middle. $140 separates the bottom end and the top end, with the P7P55D-E Pro running $90 less than the top end board.
  • Pros: – A lot of board for the money, – Ready for the future with USB 3 and SATA 6Gb/s without compensation, – BIOS is very overclocker friendly, – Excellent overclocker
  • Cons: – None

Tweak Town
24 February 2010
  • Excerpt: After spending some time with the H5x series and the Clarkdale, we decided to head back and look at the newly revised "E" version of ASUS' P7P55D series. These boards have been worked over to include both SATA 3.0 and SuperSpeed USB, all for a relatively low $189.99 over at Newegg . With the P55's limited PCIe lanes, including these new technologies has required the use of a bridge chip to allow for proper PCIe bandwidth.

Asus P7P55D-E Pro

27 January 2010
  • Conclusion: The Asus P7P55D-E Pro board has shown us that Asus knows how to pack a lot of punch (Overclock and Feature wise) into a fairly affordable board. Priced in the $200 price range with Sata 3 and USB 3.0 that doesn’t eat your PCI-E bandwidth, the Asus P7P55D-E Pro is going to be one of the more affordable enthusiast quality boards.

Placa base USB 3.0 Asus P7P55D-E PRO, altas prestaciones para PCs Intel

PC Actual
29 May 2010

Expert Review

3 May 2010
  • Excerpt: Dwie nowe wersje niezwykle popularnych interfejsów - SATA i USB - stały się jednym z kluczowych argumentów producentów płyt głównych, wykorzystywanym do zachęcenia potencjalnych nabywców do wymiany obecnej płyty głównej. Praktycznie każda licząca się firma szybko wprowadziła do oferty płyty wyposażone w oba najnowsze interfejsy, przy czym prym w tej kwestii wiodły dwie marki - Gigabyte i ASUS.
