Summary: Socket 1156 motherboards had a short product life and when my original Asus P7P55-M motherboard had to be replaced I found it almost impossible to find a suitable replacement. It arrived with a drivers CD (not original) and no I/O backplate. It will work without one but I was uncomfortable doing so and miraculously I found one in a search on "Oy Vey" from a vendor in the Netherlands.
Summary: Just what I needed for an older i7-860 CPU I had. Not a huge selection for this particular socket because it was replaced relatively quickly with an 1150 socket but this one certainly does the trick!
Summary: Most people are way "over-computered" for what they do on them. I'm building a "plain-jane" PC for my father-in-law based on this older motherboard and it's perfect for him. As always, Asus puts out a very nicely done product that's easy to use. Would have been way better if the seller would have included the original I/O shield with the board, but otherwise, they were great to deal with and shipped very quickly.
