adam l., Newegg
7 February 2014
  • Summary: It's been running a OC e6600 for the last seven years. Do I need to say more? If you can happen to find this motherboard to go with a old c2d/c2q don't hesitate. Just buy it.
  • Pros: This obviously is no longer my main motherboard anymore. It's sitting in my old gaming rig from 2007 that I still have running that I use just as a file server. I have a E6600 OC to 3.2ghz that has been running stable since 2007.
  • Cons: Absolutely none.

Just now replacing :(

Matthew D., Newegg
4 December 2013
  • Summary: I set this rig up in 2007, with the eVGA 8800gtx, E6600 C2D Conroe, Corsair CMPSU-620HX 620W, all in an Antec 900 case. Ended up giving to my boyfriend when I built my new rig 2 years ago. Still ran great up till last month when the GPU finally died.
  • Pros: Lasted the test of time, only now replacing because games are super struggling haha. Overclocked like a beast Rock solid reliability.
  • Cons: Sad to see it finally set sail to the grey havens with the rest of the fellowship :(

eh...

13 January 2012
  • Summary: Ive used ASUS many times before and this was the first time I encountered a major failure (as far as Im concerned...) with any of their products. heck, I had an M2N SLi deluxe running an AMD 6k+ (3.0g @ 3.6g) for a little over 5 yrs without a hiccup.
  • Pros: board ran decent enough, and had enough options for the time.
  • Cons: got the board and out of the box it had a bad USB header, no big deal and not enough to warrant an RMA (or so I thought...) anyways, weeks went by and slowly things started to die across the board, from fan headers to the final thing with is the SATA going out. at first just one, then another, un...

Awesome Board

Brandon B., Newegg
15 January 2008
  • Summary: This board just rocks, unless it dies suddenly for mystical reasons anytime soon, I'll remain very pleased with it.
  • Pros: Very nice board. Easy install, nice manual, overly-overclocking-friendly!! (if your are into that) This board runs very cool. But the best thing for me, was that it delevers the x16 to both video cards, and has a third slot at x8 for a physics card. Asus did very well making a board for a serious...

ASUS Rocks

Anonymous, Newegg
14 January 2008
  • Summary: I did have some difficulty with the BIOS update. Supposedly automated but struggled with Vista 64. It was set up for a floppy and I had to move on to the USB flash and update in the CMOS. Not sure if it was VISTA or not but getting all set up with 8 GB ram took some toying around.
  • Pros: This board is great. Laid out well, good connections for fans, USB and 1334 connections. Really good cables come with this board and I didn't have any conflicts or issues. ASUS P5N32-E SLI Plus,Q6600, 8GB Patriot Ram, ASUS 8600GT Silent, SATA 500 GB.
  • Cons: ASUS website is a bit slow and not the easiest to navigate for updating the BIOS.

wonderful investment

Jonathan H., Newegg
14 January 2008
  • Summary: This was my first time building a computer. All worries i had about configuring the bios, loading drivers from a floppy, setting up raid ID's etc etc were non existant after plugging everything in.
  • Pros: after doing months of research , I decided upon this board because of the future-proofing features built into it as well as its wide availability of slots for additional cards.
  • Cons: The first one came dead. Smoke came off my motherboard when I attempted to power it up. Newegg was extremly professional and prompt in replacing the board and now my happy lil beast runs wonderfully

Fabulous Motherboard

Michelle M., Newegg
11 January 2008
  • Summary: For my future builds I will stick with ASUS and and the P5N32-E. To get some more speed from our systems we have swapped from PATA Optical Drives to SATA and wow what a step up with this MOBO.
  • Pros: For our application this is one great MOBO. I love everything about it. From the 3 USB 2.0 connectors, 8 fan connectors to the 6 SATA connectors at a 90 which helps in keeping everything together and against the case frame creating a cleaner build. My MOBO runs around 26C and CPU around 28C at 22...

  • Summary: Got a quad-q6700 OC to 3ghz with Freezone water cooling. My processer stays between 9°C and 30°C. Great mobo though!
  • Pros: Great board overall!
  • Cons: Sound card sucks. Mobo runs a bit hot, around 30°C.

Another DOA

Lucas G., Newegg
5 January 2008
  • Summary: Asus has rocked for me in past, but the present isn't looking good. I don't know what the future holds for their quality, but if they keep sending out junk like this, we all know what will happen.
  • Pros: Well, if I could get it to post, it would be good. I have had many Asus prod in past, but the DOA's are becoming more frequent.
  • Cons: 3rd DOA
