Very solid and plenty fast for my brother-in-laws needs.

Ebay

  • Summary: I needed a motherboard for my brother-in-law's computer. I have always liked the Asus line of motherboards because they seem to be more stable and robust than the others.

Great Board!!!

weldzilla1, Ebay

  • Summary: Well the P5NE-sli Board has been a great little board from the start!! I recommend you add a 80mm or bigger fan blowing on the northbridge as it gets pretty warm. This P5Ne-sli board is running a e6600 processor and 2 gigs of G.skill 6400HZ mem. It has a MSI 260GTX running the video. This machine has run 24/7 since it was built without a reboot. I just use it for Folding.

P5N-E Motherboard

ojaifloyd, Ebay
26 January 2010
  • Summary: This provides great graphic capabilities and the possible upgrades are fantastic. We purchased this because we can add memory up to 8 GB and run dual graphic cards. When we burnt the memory slot we replace it with the same make and model. Also, the simple layout enable my 11 yr old son to complete the replace without any issues.

Lots of bang for the buck

Erik R. Pierce, Amazon
1 January 2009
  • Summary: The Asus P5N-E SLI motherboard is by far the most bang I've gotten for my buck in a computer upgrade in a long time. Clean, easy to install, the P5N-E is also great to look at. The connector layouts are well designed, I don't have cables in my way, although I would have preferred another alternative to the edge IDE connectors. The P5N-E is compatible with a wide range of hardware enabling you to start small (and cheap!) and upgrade piecemeal.

Nearly a year.

HawaiianEye, Amazon
14 October 2008
  • Summary: I read up on it. It's a nice stable MB. I haven't used the dual video board capability and probably won't. By the time I can afford another twin videoboard, the latest and greatest,(whenever that will be), will be faster that having 2 together. So the SLI feature is kinda moot, unless your going to slam a coupla' units in right away. Even if not... it's made to handle it, so it's tougher than a normal MB. Right?

Exactly What I Needed

Palmetto, Amazon
6 September 2008
  • Summary: I had an old P4 system that I built in 2002 and the motherboard died. Today, it's nearly impossible to get a replacement that will accept DDR memory, a P4 processor and a bunch of IDE/ATA devices (like hard drives and DVD-ROM and DVD write drives). This motherboard was a good compromise. It provides 2 IDE ports (up to 4 devices) along with all the new technology like SATA, SLI, and up to a Quad Core processor.
