Fairly solid

phl36west, Ebay
10 November 2009
  • Summary: Almost outdated but a solid board, and ASUS is constantly coming out with BIOS updates. I had a few intel boards, and they have really poor bios support. ASUS FTW!

Excellent motherboard for the money

BENMESSAOUD "Fishing Fan", Amazon
5 February 2008
  • Summary: I got this motherboard for my new mob, I already got a Gigabyte DQ6. My gigabyte is much better of course but it costs almost double, anyway if you're not a pipe cooling fan this one will be okay. Very good overclocker and very good support for Nvidia based graphic cards, but SLI will be only on 8x but I think there's no real difference in performance. I installed it and it was running from the first time, very easy to configure and install drivers.

Good Board; Beware of low latency Ram

Robert Scott Graham, Amazon
15 January 2008
  • Summary: Overall this is a good value board. As a new system builder I had no problem getting this board installed and running. My only problem came with memory compatibility. After several days of suffering through blue screens that prevented me from even getting a clean Windows install I switched out the pair of Corsair 2GB 240 DIMM non-ECC DDR2 RAM (TWIN2X2048-6400C4) Dimms with some plain jane Kingston PC6400's and everything ran smoothly the first time.

  • Excerpt: The motherboard overall isn't too bad, but does have some compatibility issues with Creative Labs X-FI when using SLI, this is the only problem I have with it.

A great mid-price board for budget SLi systems

cport80, Ciao
28 February 2008
  • Excerpt: Superb mid-price motherboard and I'm very glad I opted to buy this. I became a bit of an E-pox fan a while back and went to a Sapphire pure advantage when they came out. The current state of play though suggests us first-person-shooter fanatics should opt for intel/nvidia systems so this was my choice. The board itself has some innovative features I've not come across on other boards before.
  • Pros: Quick connectors, built in bios recovery, overclocking features
  • Cons: No port 80 (LED diagnostics) display, angled IDE sockets

Excellent board

greatgree..., Ciao

  • Excerpt: Great motherboard for the price. Built this with a Core 2 Duo E660, 2GB RAM and 2x 7600GT SLI and runs great. Can run any of the latest games on the highest setting. Also a very good board for overclocking so goes together quite well with the E660. There are two problems with the board but may not affect you. Firstly when I first built my new PC it used to crash every now and then and this was due to a BIOS problem.
  • Pros: Runs great, very cheap
  • Cons: BIOS may need updating

Verpackung + Funktionalität + zubehör

Tim, Amazon
4 August 2013
