Summary: I've bought several ASUS motherboards over the years, and this is the first one that ever disappointed me. The box had a sticker that said "Works with Vista". But the BIOS revision on the board when I bought it apparently didn't work with Vista. I had a lot of trouble with RAM, even after replacing the well-regarded RAM I'd initially bought with RAM from the certified-compatibility list. Only when I upgraded the BIOS did my random lockups and crashes finally cease.
Summary: This mobo has a major flaw where you can NOT occupy the A slots with certain memory (brands). I bought 8GB of RAM (OCZ2VU8004GK) and can not use all of it. Go figure which RAM brand works and doesn't. I updated to the latest BIOS, which promised more memory compatibility. NOT! Also, one of the heat sinks gets boiling hot, cannot touch - you will burn your fingers. Besides all that, out of 10 reboots, 2 of them get passed the BIOS.
