Very solid and plenty fast for my brother-in-laws needs.

Ebay
10 June 2013
  • Summary: I needed a motherboard for my brother-in-law's computer. I have always liked the Asus line of motherboards because they seem to be more stable and robust than the others.

Great Board!!!

weldzilla1, Ebay
29 June 2010
  • Summary: Well the P5NE-sli Board has been a great little board from the start!! I recommend you add a 80mm or bigger fan blowing on the northbridge as it gets pretty warm. This P5Ne-sli board is running a e6600 processor and 2 gigs of G.skill 6400HZ mem. It has a MSI 260GTX running the video. This machine has run 24/7 since it was built without a reboot. I just use it for Folding.

Worst ASUS motherboard I've ever owned

IT Guy in AZ, Amazon
29 January 2010
  • Summary: I've bought several ASUS motherboards over the years, and this is the first one that ever disappointed me. The box had a sticker that said "Works with Vista". But the BIOS revision on the board when I bought it apparently didn't work with Vista. I had a lot of trouble with RAM, even after replacing the well-regarded RAM I'd initially bought with RAM from the certified-compatibility list. Only when I upgraded the BIOS did my random lockups and crashes finally cease.

P5N-E Motherboard

ojaifloyd, Ebay
26 January 2010
  • Summary: This provides great graphic capabilities and the possible upgrades are fantastic. We purchased this because we can add memory up to 8 GB and run dual graphic cards. When we burnt the memory slot we replace it with the same make and model. Also, the simple layout enable my 11 yr old son to complete the replace without any issues.

Fairly solid

phl36west, Ebay
10 November 2009
  • Summary: Almost outdated but a solid board, and ASUS is constantly coming out with BIOS updates. I had a few intel boards, and they have really poor bios support. ASUS FTW!

  • Summary: hmm I bought it and it gave me a lot of problem with CMOS. It seems to reset the settings everytime I reboot. I liked the board but end up returning it. Asus is an excellent motherboard brand. I just had back luck with this product. If you search on the internet you will see people have problem with BIOS on this mobo.

Lots of bang for the buck

Erik R. Pierce, Amazon
1 January 2009
  • Summary: The Asus P5N-E SLI motherboard is by far the most bang I've gotten for my buck in a computer upgrade in a long time. Clean, easy to install, the P5N-E is also great to look at. The connector layouts are well designed, I don't have cables in my way, although I would have preferred another alternative to the edge IDE connectors. The P5N-E is compatible with a wide range of hardware enabling you to start small (and cheap!) and upgrade piecemeal.
