  • Summary: I bought this board to do an extreme budget build, I used some old XMS 2 DHX ddr2 6400, and 2 gts450's in SLI with a Core 2 Duo E8400, all of which can be found under 400 bucks on here. I had originally built it to prove that the "next gen" consoles are a pile of steamy crap, but have since turned it into my daily machine, as its still pretty quick and it games at a damn good speed even in the newer games that have been coming out.

Asus quality is not what it used to be.

  • Summary: I bought this as a replacement motherboard for another ASUS P5N-D motherboard that was dying. With the original board, the onboard LAN went out within the first two years. Soon after, it was not possible to enter the Bios on the board. Finally, after about 5 years of use, SATA port number stopped functioning. I have had a few problems with the original P5N-D motherboard, I'm just hoping this replacement serves a little better.

Not as advertised!

Richard Gutknecht, Amazon
12 March 2014
  • Summary: The specs on this motherboard indicates it supports RAID, however, upon receipt I discover the MOTHERBOARD DOES NOT support RAID, but rather it is a Microsoft proprietary SOFTWARE RAID vice a HARDWARE RAID! I'm running Linux, therefore, no hardware RAID for me. I'm using this for a media server, so now I'm stuck with rebuilding my OS and running a software RAID on Linux, which will take away more resources from my CPU. NOT Happy. Buyer beware!
