  • Conclusion: The quiz related to this article is inactive, check out these other available quizzes! [ View current quizzes! ] The P4S8X isn’t quite the fastest SiS 648 motherboard on the market, it finished just a hair behind the other motherboard based on this chipset. But when it comes to feature set, there isn’t another SiS 648 motherboard on the market that even comes close to touching it.

Asus P4S8X

  • Conclusion: The Asus P4S8X has all the goods: SerialATA, 8X AGP, Firewire ports, and a whole host of Overclocking functions. True to its tradition, Asus has once again included the bleeding-edge of technology in a package that's easy to install and configure. As concerns our Overclocking results though, it should be noted that our sample of the Asus P4S8X was a pre-production unit, and that we can easily expect the final version to clock much higher.
  • Pros: Could use a thermal sensor connector, Memory slots are too close to the AGP port
  • Cons: Jumperless design, BIOS-adjustable Vcore, and DRAM voltages, Excellente performance, Integrated IDE ATA133 controller, Integrated Serial ATA controller, Integrated USB 2.0 controller, Integrated Ethernet controller, Integrated IEEE1394 controller, Support for DDR333 memory
