Asus P3V4X is a nice retro-gaming motherboard

retro-computer, Ebay
31 October 2013
  • Summary: This review is primarily about the motherboard. The Asus P3V4X is a good motherboard for Win98/DOS retro-gaming, especially when combined with a Pentium III CPU. This board is distinguished by it's use of the Via Apollo Pro133 chipset, allowing the use of Slot 1 Pentium CPUs at 133mhz FSB without...

  • Summary: Although it is not the latest technology, this item works as expected for my project. I had other components to add to this which limited the technology of the motherboard I could use.

old asus slot 1 motherboard

gswank1, Ebay
17 February 2010
  • Summary: I like the adjustable bios that this motherboard has. I love that I can use almost any processor in it that I want. I dislike the fact that it came with a dead bios battery but it is old and batteries do go bad.

  • Excerpt: This Asus P3V4X motherboard is very simple to build in to systems and has plenty of scope for the budding home builder and pro alike. It has 133fsb and will supports cpu's up to the "magic" 1GHz. Its nicely price and not too expensive and future proof for years to come to keep the user in touch.

  • Excerpt: The Asus P2B is a stable and feature rich motherboard. It replaced a TMC motherboard I had which had ‘issues’ with Nvidia graphics cards. Since the swap my computer has been more stable in general use, as well as when the graphics card is working hard.

  • Excerpt: This is a very very good motherboard. This was the motherboard I used to build my own computer and I must have spent around 3 months researching motherboards, so you can trust me on this one. It has 6 pci slots so there is plenty of room for upgrades.
