Trash.

Adam K., Newegg
2 January 2016
  • Summary: Died yesterday, so the lifespan of this board is sadly under 4 years. I had a great setup with lots of cooling and just one GFX card... Pretty irritated, won't buy another.
  • Pros: Looks very nice, ASUS bios & tools are powerful and easy to use. Its compatible with a lot of OC ram, and more room around the stock i5 heatsink than on the P68 ASUS boards.
  • Cons: It is not reliable.

Died right after warranty ended

Arnold G., Newegg
22 July 2015
  • Summary: PCI Slots just stopped working a few months after the warranty ended. I will give ASUS one more shot by buying another MB from them. I hope this next one will last more than just 3 years. If not I will switch companies.
  • Pros: It lasted a little over 3 year if that is a pro. It was easy to install. Fit nicely in my case and looked good.
  • Cons: Died a few months after the warranty expired. PCI slots stopped working.

not bad but...

Jacob H., Newegg

  • Summary: Love Asus, not sure what to do about getting some modern day graphics in here until anything else is worth upgrading.
  • Pros: This board was unprecedented at the time, and provided me a stable platform for a long time. I write this review for people buying elsewhere since its out of stock and not made anymore
  • Cons: Part of the allure at the time was future proofing, Ivy turned out to be a dud so pcie 3.0 never was meant to be seen by me. I spent a very long time trying to get an asus 780 GTX working on this board at pcie 2.0. I finally gave up. Note to the wise: don't buy anything with promises of future co...

2 Years and going strong

Josh B., Newegg

  • Summary: System Build: i5 3570k Gtx 580 Rosewell 700w PSU 2TB Seagate HDD 120GB SSD Kingston All inside a full size ATX Raidmax Vampire case...
  • Pros: First of all I've had this motherboard for awhile and given some of the bad reviews I attempted to give it a shot anyways. This was my first Asus product and I can honestly say it was well worth it. I bios flashed it for a 3rd gen i5 and it's working great with no problems to date.
  • Cons: Only con I can see is that it is a little outdated now with the new processors out and software drivers had a slight issue with iGPU voltage reading
