Not loving ASUS

Summary: While I'm thankful for many things today, my ASUS Maximus IV Extreme -Z isn't one of them. Parts listed in this build are 2 years old, but never used. Bought them December 2011 right before Uncle Sam sent me to Korea. Just got back to USA and now finally using them for this build. This board had problems posting from the start. The internal debug LEDs read "00" which ASUS lists as a code that isn't used, so no helpful info there.
Summary: I purchased this board. installed it and it was defective. The board failed after five minutes. I sent the board back to ASUS. They told me the board was defective and they would replace it. As of this date I am in court with them as defendants as I have not received a return board. They are pulling out all legal stops rather than replace the board as promised. Necer ever buy from this company.

Summary: Asus support for motherboard is the absolute worst. My motherboard runs but will only recognize 8gb memory. Only 2 slots work. There are 6 slots. After contacting support, I got literally nonsensical responses. After much exasperation, I got a recommend for an rma and put in for it. I've been trying to get rma for weeks and can't even get a response as to whether or not the rma has even been started. No response to my many emails. Buy at your own peril.
