Computer running much faster, but tough to tell if this MB did much
3 weeks ago
Summary: Upgraded my PC with this m/b, newer processor, hard drive and 5 ghz wireless card, and from 4 to 8 gb ram and saw some performance improvement on windows 7 (come to find out windows 7 maxes out at 4 gigs of ram anyways), but not enough to make much a difference to me. The real upgrade came after I installed windows 8 instead of 7. My PC is night and day different now. It's hard to tell if it's the motherboard but Im sure it's at least a small part of it.
Summary: Just installed last night, so I can't speak for its longevity, but it was very easy to install and connect. No issues with getting my new build up and running. Haven't played too much in Bios yet, but from what I saw it's very easy to use and being able to use my mouse is handy. I didn't plan to run two GPUs, so its perfect for me, but if you are, go with the M5A99ZX PRO instead. This one runs dual at X8 X8.
Summary: I've been using this board for a few days now and I don't have any complaints. I bought this to use for PC gaming and some video editing here and there. I paired it up with an AMD FX 6300 with the intentions to overclock in the future if needed. So far I haven't needed to, but the I'm sure it'll handle that well when the time comes. One issue I ran into during my build was USB ports not being active. I'm not sure if it was a Windows or board issue.
Replaced another manufacturer and this thing works beautifully.

Summary: Wow, what a nice change from another brand. I had been using the same brand for years. However, on the two motherboards I bought from them for 8 core processors, the old brand was just not stable. Oh sure, if I held my mouth just right I could load Debian Linux and it would literally run months without a reboot. The problem was in that initial setup. In both cases the during setup the boards would spontaneously reboot.
Summary: So far nothing but good with this board. Fired up perfectly on the first try. Everything works like it's supposed to (knock on wood) and I didn't have to make any changes to get things running. One little issue I had was, somehow, when set up, this board defaulted to a 10% OC, which was causing me heat issues because I didn't have a cooling solution beefy enough to deal with that. It was easy to correct in the Bios/UEFI though.
Summary: The TPU switch is a great idea! The problem was, it underclocked my ram a bit, so I just went into the BIOS and bumped it back up, and the computer absolutely flies. It is a smart motherboard with tons of features. The AI suite software is nice, but it's a bit amateur looking. the UEFI BIOS is great!
Summary: This is my first ASUS motherboard and from what I have read is either you get a great motherboard or a terrible motherboard when you buy an ASUS. I have been fortunate in my builds when it comes to motherboards. It is better than my Asrock motherboard that had in my last build. The only issue that i had was that the bIOS had some issues posting.
