ASUS makes fine products and I've enjoyed some of their great equipment ...

Summary: ASUS makes fine products and I've enjoyed some of their great equipment over the years. And I'm sure this mobo is no different. It looks, feels and fits very nice. But their CS absolutely sucks. So, I've just joined the ranks of the other reviewers who claim they will never buy another ASUS product. And I'll take it just one further and vow to never state another positive thing about ASUS again. I installed this M5A99FX Pro R2 motherboard to replace an aging one.
Summary: Total crap, could not get the board to post to Windows 7. Called the support number and it took 3 hours to get someone and got disconnected 3 times in the process. When I finally got someone they acted like they had no idea what a motherboard was or how to help. Sending it back and getting rid of the remainder of my ASUS products. Their support is just like their products......lagging behind... Never again.
Ultimate motherboards must be of high quality like the Asus Products !!!!!!

M5A99FX PRO R2.0 motherboard fails with red CPU LED

Summary: Received this motherboard in March to upgrade my homebuilt system. Excited about the features. After about 4 months it began to have the red CPU LED come on at random times. When on, it required a complete power-down and waiting for 20min to 4 hours to reboot. In addition to random failures, it would immediately fail if I attempted to start games such as World of Warcraft, The Elder Scrolls Online or Diablo.
Summary: Amazing motherboard. My build is AMD FX 6300, 6 cores, Vengeance corsair 8GB ram, Corsair Graphite Series 230T Black with Window Compact Mid-Tower Computer Case, Corsair Builder Series CX 600 Watt power supply, EVGA GeForce GTX 750Ti Superclock graphics card. It all fitted beautifully without any problems at all. The bios are beautiful. I was mindblown when I could use my mouse while accessing my bios menu (I'm used to only be able to use my keyboard).
Summary: The Asus RMA Experience! Let me first say I've been an ASUS customer for 10-15 years... love their leading well engineered products! BUT... after 4 months this board wouldn't POST one morning.... simple problem and it happens. Went out bought another to get up and running... it came to life after moving the CPU and attaching wires... nothing changes.... So the board went bad. No big deal. BUT... now I have to deal with ASUS customer Service.... here's my ongoing saga...
Summary: Have this with an AMD fx 8350, 16gb ram, ssd and 660 ti. OC basically everything. Dual bios is awesome. Love how mobos now are going to the UEFI BIOS. Spacing is great, doesn't get hot, and OC is very simple. Highly recommended.
