Summary: good little board Bios is very easy to understand.
Pros: Got it for a good price on a shell shocker deal. Used it for an upgrade for my moms comp with a fx-6300 cpu. Not a bad little combo for the price i paid. Looks good and i like the stainless steel io shield. Came with 2 nice sata cables.
Cons: one of the heat sinks on the board felt loose and cheap. Didn't like that but it hasn't caused problems yet. only one pci e slot.
Summary: Returned to Newegg and will get another MB that's plays nice with Stryker.
Pros: It looked great. Screws attached as expected ... righty tighty lefty loosey. Newegg's delivery was on time and excellent as usual.
Cons: Wouldn't POST. Wouldn't recognize input from my usb keyboards. Spent an hour with Asus support. They had me repeat several things I had already done and then told me to try the PS/2 connection. Like an idiot I bought a PS/2 keyboard. And ... well .. nothing. My Cool Master Stryker case didn't sup...
Summary: I built a rig using this board 12/2015 and it has run flawlessly the whole time using it on a daily basis. This unit may not have all the bell and whistles of the current ones but older does not mean it does not have it's uses.
Summary: I was actually pretty happy with this mother board running windows 7 even windows 8 ran well. But switching over to windows 10 has been a joke. I have very high latency problems coming from usbport.sys and the network driver. Last updates for the Mobo was in july/august and it's now november.
Pros: Stable, runs great. Haven't gotten 1 BSOD.
Cons: Drivers. Lack of updates. Slow to update, etc.
Cons: it stopped working less than a week! I used my PC maybe 20 hours..... first time buying ASUS motherboard and I regret it greatly! after putting some many hours installing everything, now I have to take everything apart and spend hours to put my computer back together. I've upgraded my PC at least...
Summary: Anyone wanting to build a reliable and fast PC this is the what you need to get. I've been running linux on this ting for about a year. All I needed to do was install some realtek drivers, aswell as switch to proprietary video drivers and it's good to go.
Pros: Lots of SATA ports. Lots of PCIe's. Awesome/intuitive (but yet controllable (good thing) ) BIOS. Very well engineered. Great, great, GREAT price. You get more than you pay for. Memory Clear feature has saved me a few times.
Cons: Lacks Linux-Kernel capabilities (however it is possible to fix this).
Summary: For the price, this board is a no-brainer. It may lack a few of the bells-and-whistles of higher priced motherboards. But, honestly, I can't see why I'd ever need anything nicer than this.
Pros: This is one of the slickest boards I have ever seen/used. Within 5 minutes of installing my new CPU and firing up the PC for the first time, I had a stable overclock with the ram running at the speed I wanted. The mobo bios is easy to navigate (and has mouse support), and changing all the setting...
Cons: None so far... and that surprised me. Every time I've made a new PC, I've run into SOME sort of issue upon the first boot. RAM speed being off, CPU clock speed not set right, boot priority, voltages, SOMETHING was always off that first time. But, NOPE! The BIOS automatically set up everything dan...
