Summary: North bridge gets so hot I can't even touch it. I suspect this is where the problem comes from.
Pros: Good looking board - Nice features - Easy to work with -
Cons: After 12 months will not post past the Asus Logo - Screen goes blank - Tried 2 other graphics cards, another PSU, other memory sticks, no luck. I go into the BIOS but can not get passed the first screen.
Summary: Great Motherboard. Not too expensive and has many quality features. For a budget PC build this is an excelent Motherboard. Accepted the RAM values at 1600Mhz without any changes to the BIOS. I installed Windows 8.1 and it found most all the drivers including the NIC. A good rule of thumb before you purchase any Motherboard is to visit the manufactures website and check their Quality Vendors List (QVL).
Summary: Decent MOBO for the price you are paying. I used this in my $700 gaming build and haven't run into any problems so far. The software that come with this MOBO is garbage but that is expected lol.
Summary: I bought this so I could build my own computer for the first time. Along with a little advice from friends, I was able to read the instructions for installing this an all of my components. In case anyone's wondering, I'm using the AMD FX 4-Core Black Edition FX-4300.
Amazon was great with the returns had returned the broken ones twice ...

Summary: I received 2 of these boards DOA, friend i was doing the replacement for opted not to try for a 3rd. Never had a DOA issue with any other ASUS boards, maybe my time finally came. Just my mileage, Amazon was great with the returns had returned the broken ones twice within the same week and still got the other board we decided on.
Summary: Debian Linux installed ok but after rebooting the system kept locking up. I tried tweaking the UEFI settings per various recommendations but to no avail. I was forced to return the board to Amazon. Once again Amazon's awesome customer service was there for me. If you are a Linux user look elsewhere.
Summary: I first got a very similar MSI motherboard, but the audio stopped working, and the temperature sensors seemed to be very inaccurate, saying it was very hot when it was barely warm to the touch. So I returned the defective MSI board and switched to the Asus. The Asus worked perfectly right off the bat, and the temperature sensors seemed to be much more reasonable.
