Excerpt: To be blunt, terrible layout for audio and usb headers. Not enough power delivery, sacrifices desktop ram for laptop and chipset heatsink gets warm to the touch , for its size its a little to warm for me.
Hope it Doesn't fail for you, ASUS' X-RMA SUCKS!!!!!!!!
11 June 2012
Summary: ASUS' X-RMA process is atrocious, Talking about going to Hell and waiting, turned in my required paperwork and info over 2 weeks ago only to find out that my refurbished board they plan to send me, hasn't completed testing yet, So when aforementioned place freezes over, maybe by Labor Day I'll...
Pros: compact:- fits ok with an ITX chase wireless:- exists overclocking ability: the only good thing about it
Cons: Where do I start??? I hate the HDMI output of this board!! The HDMI output never gets full resolution. It does not matter what driver is installed. I have tried all possible drivers with different combination of operating systems including Linux. It doesn’t even get full resolution in BIOS. That ...
Summary: I was very excited about this board. I have always been a fan of ASUS and have owned several ASUS products, but after this purchase, I might have to reconsider. I have been getting multiple blue screens since a few weeks after I purchased it.
Pros: Great concept for an ITX form factor board (in theory)
Pros: Good Board, and did everything its suppose to do. Offers many features, and the only board that allows for a top of the line AMD processor and 16x video card slot.
Cons: The problem is the RMA procedure by Asus. Computer stopped posting, tested all other devices and still ceased to boot. Sent broken mobo to asus, they sent me my orginal board, and still ceased to boot. Sadly I am short of time and need a new mobo, and because this is the only mobo that supports m...
Summary: My system uses an AMD Phenom x4 processor, SSD, and 8GB of 1333 DDR3 RAM. The processor alone produces a lot of heat. I run the HTPC with the cover off, to let the heat out. It's stable.
Pros: small form factor; built-in 802.11n; USB 3; Bluetooth adaptor
Cons: No dual monitor support, contrary to the indication in the manual. ASUS tech support finally, after the 3rd e-mail exchange, realized that it's supposed to support dual monitors, as the manual indicates. ASUS tech support kept passing my messages around, but not to anyone technical savvy, so I st...
Summary: Board would be awesome if the cpu multiplier would not keep dropping under load when overclocked. This is a known issue with this board and the consenses is that Asus programmed the bios to do this when the chipset hits a certain temperature, but they make no mention of this anywhere.
Pros: OK if you don't plan on overclocking, but then it's too expensive for what it is.
Cons: Expensive CPU multiplier drops when overclocked with no way to stop it from happening. Wifi adapter is a ridiculous
Summary: All things considered, this has been the worst motherboard purchase experience I have personally experienced. Most Corporations, especially with the current economic climate you think would try harder to hold on to the remainder of the dwindling customer base.
Pros: Very full featured Motherboard for being ITX. Ease of instalation. Bluetooth seemed to work better than many other manufacturers onboard BT. BIOS seemed to be very OC'able should that be you desire. Good delivery from NewEgg as useual.
Cons: Video out lasted not much over a month, possibly 6 weeks. I don't meen just the onboard video, the PCIe slot went south as well. Things happen as we are all aware. The real issues that I have started when I tried to have NewEgg replace the board. I was told that it was beyond the 30 day exchange ...
