Summary: Although functional it has been a problem child in terms of funcitonality. THe Bios needed to be flashed in order to get the USB ports to start working again, within two months the LAN port went out and I had to scramble to find a replacement card (FYI they dont sell them anymore, only USB versions) thankfully my local Staples had one in the discount bin collecting dust. Had to RMA it.
Summary: This board seemed solid out of the box and was solid for about 10 months. Then the problems started. It would occasionally freeze after being afk and on standby for about after 2 hours of operation in sleep mode. Then about 2 weeks later, windows started to lock up. Nothing to do with viruses as I have the best Virus scanner on the market. Everything would be working fine, then BAM. Locked up. Then finally about 3 weeks ago before Halloween 2012, wouldn't even post.
Summary: It does everything promised and the onboard sounds is fine for gaming. I had one issue when I tried to put it in manual standby and I had to read the manual to see how access an internal button for a reset before it would start up again. So I just don't use Standby anymore. When the computer puts itself to sleep, it wakes up fine though.
Summary: I love this motherboard! It came in 5 days after order and was in good packaging. I bought this motherboard to support a better processor that i was going to buy. my previous motherboard could handle 90w i believe of am3 socket. but this beast can handle 140w for the new power hungry AMD FX 4100 i just bought! 3.6 GHz Quad core. of course Intel is better than AMD but AMD is definitely my choice because you cant beat the price and they have good speed and cores.
Summary: this motherboard is the worst one i bought. Cause it can not modify the VCPU, EVEN i upgrade the new BIOS. when i modify the Vcpu, it can start the windows, but when the cpu run at a full speed, the Vcpu is down below 1.488, even i closed the C1E and QUIET function.I will contact the ASUS to get a replacement.
Summary: I read all the reviews to make sure that I purchased a motherboard that had a track record for reliability and could meet the demands of a large MIDI organ program. This board met those requirements. I also wanted a board that provided the best bang for the buck and 16gb of ram is substantial for the price considering a 24 gig board is double or triple the price.
Summary: Every feature works perfectly and the Sata 3 works great with my new OCZ 120GB SSD. 480mb read speed are great for gaming. Bought a USB 3 external hdd and I was not impressed, but that is really just a limitation of mechanical hdds. All in all great purchase.
