Engineered by ASUS to fail 6 months after end of warranty
2 November 2013
Summary: I purchased this board in February of 2010. The warranty ran out in February 2013. In October of 2013 I decided to upgrade my RAM from 4 gb to 8 gb (from two 2 gb sticks to 4 2 gb sticks). I soon found out that installing RAM in the B2 DIMM slot caused the computer to not post to the BIOS ... basically, my computer would not longer boot up. The machine would run fine with RAM in the other three DIMM slots but not in the B2 DIMM slot. I tried everything.
Very good board for the price and does what I wanted it for, recommended

Summary: A very good Asus board with a lot of great features. I bought this to pair with an AMD Phenom II X2 555 cpu. With this board, Iother two cores for a Phenom II X4 Deneb class processor. I also was able to overclock to 3.5 GHz with no problem.
Summary: Yesyouare & i Hope you all are having a realy Good day. i found this motherboard not up to it because the one i order did not work i think it was the bios chip i payed $52.00 for a used one and to buy the bios chip for it would be $15.00 to $20.00 more. i/one would think that with all the talk about bios not going out and being able to recover well this board did not recover i tryed every thing i know and the bios just wouldnt start so i asked for a refund.

Summary: MB works great if the system your using regular workstation. If you plan on using this MB for the backbone of a server, DON'T. This MB drivers don't support Windows Home Server OS, and you will be forced purchase addition cards for networking capabilities. Also Asus, doesn't have any drivers available to support Windows Home Server.
Summary: I bought this bord and at first it ran fantastic. then I started getting occasional blue screen of death stateing dumping memory. Im still working with tech support trying to convince them its their board and not operateing system as they claim. I replaced every pice of hardware in the tower. now the pc dosen't stay on longer than 5 to ten min without a crash if I turn up the graphics.
Summary: This is a great motherboard. Has a load of USB ports, easy setup, a lot of other ports and looks great in my computer. I love the 8+2 phase power, the "turbo Key" and the fact that I can OC the memory as high as 1800mhz. I would recommend this motherboard to anyone that has an AMD cpu and wants to upgrade their motherboard. Great price too on eBay or retail.
Steer clear of ASUS, unless you are going w/ their top of line motherboards only

Summary: This is now the second ASUS board I attempted to run with, the other board I had (M4A79 Deluxe), thought the problem was with my old MB that had the same chipset. Had to RMA/refund the motherboard under 1 week of ownership because of continual stability issues with random freezes (entire screen freezes/mouse, or blue screen of death memory dumps etc.) Upgraded the latest BIOS update from their site, same problem....
