Summary: This is the board that shattered my trust of ASUS products.
Pros: Great for overclocking and doing things with both windows xp and seven.
Cons: The bios is more fragile than a one nanometer thick sheet of styrofoam. Like the five billion other people that got this board, it will eventually fail to post and even show signs of booting, which is a HUGE letdown.
Cons: Does not post. Have had to attempt to post bios 76 times before it'd finally go for 1 day use. Once it starts up it runs solid but once you shut down good luck getting it to post bios again. Complete waste of money, worn down my other pieces of hardware from attempting to start, & complete nightm...
Summary: I hate when companies don't stand by their products and give you the best service/product possible.
Pros: Maybe a good motherboard if you can get it to work.
Cons: I've had a very frustrating experience with this motherboard. This was my first build and I wanted a top of the line processor. I ended up going with the AMD Phenom II X6 1090 T. From day one I had problems with the motherboard. It would freeze at random spots. After a few months it would no long...
RAID Failure. Awful Technical and Customer Support
2 June 2011
Summary: The RAID capability of this MOBO does NOT function correctly. It will report a failed disk (you get to guess which one since it does not tell you) when no disk has failed. When you replace the "failed" disk, it does not rebuild the RAID. There are no messages of ANY kind during the RAID rebuild.
Summary: This motherboard came to me brand new and it looked sweet. I put it into my tower with a AM3 Phenom II x3 720 BE, 430w Thermaltake psu, and an ati 4850 graphics card, 1TB Hard drive, 4 sticks of 1gb ram which were compatible with the motherboard-- and it doesn't even POST. No beeps, no video.
Summary: OK i bought this Motherboard for its cross fire features and the core unlocker! I was so psyched when i got it all together. I turned it on and!........NOTHING. I got a dead board! I got very upset because i purchased it way before all my other parts and now i cant return it to Amazon.
Summary: An Image would come up when I first started to troubleshoot, but now it doesn't even work at all. Need Help Plz!!!
Pros: The price was decent along with the specs.
Cons: When I got the Mobo and hooked everything up, I didn't even get an image on my screen. Started to troubleshoot a bit and it finally started to work. Went into the BIOS to update it and couldn't. (I did read the manual and searched the internet for help.)
Summary: Will never buy an asus board again. my previous review was this one, but I could find no way to update it 10/22/2009 11:41:16 AM
Pros: seemed to be a nice board.
Cons: I've RMA'd this board 4x, in just over a year. I could handle the first one that was doa (wouldn't read a video card out of the box) 'cause there's always bound to be a bad board somewhere in a batch. But with having to RMA it FOUR TIMES already, there's obviously a problem with its design/execut...
Cons: 1st mobo was doa. after a week got the 2nd mobo, didnt work with the phenom IIx6 that i got with the combo pkg. try it with a quad core and it work. try to update the bios so i could install the 6 core and now it wont post. cant even reset the cmos. contacted asus and they sid it was a bad q-flas...
