Summary: I purchased this motherboard with AMD Athlon X4 quad core and 8gb ram. together they have been one awesome team. I couldn't have asked for any better Team
Pros: This Motherboard was chosen as part of my new computer back in 2007. I have had this motherboard for a long time now, it has ran many challenges and kept ticking. Seen many other boards fail after a yr or two, But it's now 7 yrs and still going with the same processor, and ram.
Cons: The only problem this motherboard gave me was the built in audio card failed about 4 yrs later, simple pci replacement and good as new.
Summary: In future I will stick to asus. Their after sale service is good.
Pros: I am currently using this board. With ADATA 128gb SSD, WD Black 1Tb HDD, Sapphire R9 270x Dual X graphic card, 8Gb Corsair and ADATA RAMS. Performance is superb. I dont think I have to change it now. Inspite of SATA II, speed is high. IThis is my 4th year with this board.
Cons: I dont think so. It is still competing with present boards
Summary: I was putting my new build together and found that even though it is pictured, there is no bracket for the cpu cooler to mount to. The cooler I bought counts on that bracket and now I have to locate a bracket and spend even more money.
Pros: Bought this mobo in 2010. Used it until last year then I finally took the old computer apart and added it to my spare parts collection. I never had any issues since I owned it. Just outdated now which is natural.
Summary: ASUS does have some excellent staff if you can reach them. The supervisor that I eventually reached cleared everything up and personally tested the M4A785TD-V EVO that was finally sent to me. It was great while it lasted. I like ASUS, but, I'm now hesitant to recommend their mainboards.
Pros: ASUS has some great tech-support supervisors if you can reach them. Good performance with an AMD Phenom II X6 1090T. I got this board as an ASUS RMA replacement for an ASUS M4A785-M.
Cons: It died after a little more than a year. See above remarks. The first & last time I had to RMA a M4785-M board with ASUS it was a hassle as they shipped me a M4785-M replacement that was not only DOA, but, the components were clearly re-soldered to the board and some of the components were rusted...
Pros: I got this mobo refurbished, came with the latest bios, but I want to clear one thing : this mobo is capable of the Hybrid Crossfire, pairing the integrated GPU with a Radeon HD 3450 or HD 3470, and the regular Crossfire X, I have 2 Radeon HD 4650 on this mobo running in Crossfire. Basically afte...
Summary: Had this mother board for about 8 months now and still running well. Overclocked my Athlon II x4 640 to 3.36 GHz with a FSB of 240 and x14 multiplier. Voltage stays around 1.404v and temps are good. memory is stable at 800MHz with a 3:10 FSB:DRAM ratio running at 9-9-9-24-33-1T.
Pros: Great board for the money. Nice heatsinks and board layout. Bios has some nice settings and very detailed options for performance tweaking
Cons: Needs more fan plugs think there is only 2 and the cpu fan. Some CPU cooolers will hang over the RAM so you cant have ram with tall heatspreaders. mine cleared by 2 millimeters.
