Summary: The performance of the Asus M4A78T-E (AM3) motherboard is surprisingly good. It came out on top during most of our benchmarks, and competed very well against the Gigabyte MA790FXT-UD5P motherboard.
Initally, I thought the 790GX chipset is a budget solution for mainstream users ... but I was wrong. The 790GX chipset just so happens to have built-in graphics as standard, but the performance is quite something when its used in conjunction with the new AM3 processor and DDR3...
Pros: - Very Good performance, - Support AMD's new Phenom II X4 (AM3) Processors, - Support DDR3 memory, - Asus EPU, - Supports CrossfireX, - Onboard graphics via 790GX, with HDMI DVI and D-Sub connectors
Cons: - It's hard not to think of Intel, - Not compatible with AM2+ processors
