Summary: Excellent. Good to know there is still access to technology that's more than a year old. Asus makes a good motherboard, and this one still has lots of useful life in it. The chipset is a generation old now, but it still has plenty of power for most of us. It only has USB2, but again, for whatever I'm doing, I don't notice the difference. Much better than paying all the extra money for something I really don't need.
Summary: I needed a replacement for my AM2 system and good boards are hard to find these days. This was a top quality replacement until I can move up to a new platform. Has plenty of features and is extremely reliable. All the drivers on the disc were everything I needed to get it running under Win7. It also had the full range of WinXP drivers. Every card and DIMM was easy to insert, no issues on bootup. Loads of options in the BIOS. Has everything I want and more.
Summary: I thought this was going to be a good deal for the price. Well it worked great for the first 4 weeks then the bios crashed for no reason and wouldn't read the bios recovery dvd. Complete black screen on boot. Luckily I was just short of my 30 day return and was able to exchange for another. Amazon was great and shipped me out a new board that I received the next day. I hope this one lasts longer than the first.
Summary: I bought this Asus board to replace a MSI board that had gone bad. I installed it, hooked it up, turned it on, and it booted up the very first time. It had no problem with my old memory which is slower than 1066 (800 I think). I had to re-do my network settings which is par for the course with a new mobo. Now for the fancy stuff.
Summary: After months of trying to find a stable mobo for my build, a previous Gigabyte mobo was defective, I found this one at Frys. It is 100% compatible with all my hardware and I have had no real issues with its performance. PROS: * Stable * Compatibility with AM2/AM2+ processors * Fast boot up & POST * 4 slots for DDR2 (in a DDR3 world) * DVI/VGA/HDMI support * Blu-Ray support CONS: * Raid issues (I did not configure mine for raid) * No firewire * Poor placement for power...
Summary: Another excellent quality product from Asus. Bought it as a replacement for a HP board that went bad, dropped it in and it worked beautifully. No problems, lots of features, decent quality video for an integrated chip (the option of using it in an SLI setup is a neat feature as well), I'm very happy with my purchase.
Summary: Make sure following instructions at installation, once ready...the world is yours! Fast, Great Graphics, multiple features, the MB perfect for begin in the new generation, Support up to 140W CPU, USB 2.0, SATA, dual-channel un-buffered DDR2 800 memory support, PCIE, HDMI, DVI, "Express Gate" IS TOO FAST! and more!!
Summary: ASUS did everything correct with this motherboard design. It's mATXm format supporting DVI, HDMI, or VGA along with High definition audio makes it a compact but powerful motherboard for all of AMD's phenom line of porcessors. 140 watt support means it can handle all of the Phenom II line. ASUS is the only one that has ExpressGate that gives that couch potato wireless access to control all of his multimedia needs.
