Summary: This is a great motherboard. This is my second one and the first one has been so reliable and is so packed with features that I searched out a second one when I needed to replace another brand's board. Everything you could want in an AMD AM2+ board, lots of SATA, external SATA, lots of USB connectors on the back and more heads on the board, good on board video supporting two monitors without having to add a video card, and HDMI. Plus it supports my 125W AMD 6000+.
Summary: Very simple to install and set up. I had mine built in less than an hour and this was only my first actual build. I spent more time trying to recover my old files from the same HDD I had from my previous computer which seemed to get misplaced during the OS setup. I have had no issues with this board at all and am very impressed with the sound and video from the on-board audio outputs and GPU.
Summary: In the last several months I've used three of these mother boards with AMD Phenom quadcore CPUs to replace three family PCs. I've been happy with the board on each occasion. I've not had to contact tech support so I can't comment on that. I also have not upgraded the BIOS or tried overclocking to comment on that either.
Summary: This board is packed with a ton of features. Every single port works to perfection. The 7.1 digital audio is stellar and the video performance via HDMI, DVI and VGA are all fantastic. I can't imagine anyone buying this board who isn't intending on building an HTPC as this is what its intended use is. You could buy individual PCI-E cards that total near $500-$800 to get the same result this board gives for less than $100.
Summary: It's an EXCELLENT motherboard for a not so high grade gamer, or a high grade one, it's a motherboard that will last all through upgrading your computer, it's amazing and a perfect inexpensive motherboard. It runs a perfect dual core set and up to a quad core. Will be great for graphic design as well as it supports HIGH END graphics cards!
Summary: And so far so good. Plenty of connections. Using in my secondary machine now. I sent my 790gx to ASUS as it died, but they sent me back one that also didn't work. So I bought this. I really don't care for ASUS anymore, so this will probably be my last ASUS buy. Didn't get my rebate from them, and wasted lots of money on a motherboard, and got basically nothing out of it. Thanks ASUS.
Summary: I actually don't own this board. I own another ASUS board. But this is relevant. ASUS tech support is ASTOUNDING. The best I have ever used by far. They answer quickly-- I've never held for more then 3-5 minutes-- and when they do, oh boy. They hire people with real, serious tech training. They listen carefully and know problem causes by heart-- they're not using an automated troubleshooting system.
Summary: This is a great little mobo. Every output you could want and interesting features. Express gate allows you to surf the internet and check email without entering the OS(you can do this in a matter of seconds). It also has My Logo that lets you put any picture you want as a boot logo. The asus EZ flash is excellent and allows the easiest bios flash I have ever encountered. The board is completely stable with 800MHz ram but a little flaky with 1066MHz modules.
Summary: I haven't built a PC since the 90s when I first left college. I was a little apprehensive but felt I'd be able to get through it. No problems! This little board has everything I'm ever going to need, it was easy to set-up and the price was fantastic... It took me a few hours to put the thing together from the ground up and Vista went on no problem.... Great stuff.
