Good litle board!

Eric S., Newegg
16 November 2013
  • Summary: One of the SATA connectors got a little loose on the board, but it still worked fine. Awesome board for the price!
  • Pros: Simple, reliable, and it's ASUS. What more do I need to say? Housed a Phenom dual core while I had it, and overclocking was relatively simple with the included software.
  • Cons: None.

  • Pros: Great Board!!! For as long as it lasted. i wish it lasted longer. but, oh well. got almost 4 years out of it. ran it pretty hard the last year or two with a couple of highly intense graphics games. Pirates and World of Tanks. used Graphics card 4870 x2. not two cards. the x2 card.
  • Cons: did not last as long as i would have liked it to. and i did keep it cool.

Decent

Daniel L., Newegg
16 May 2009
  • Summary: I don't list this as a con, but it did not make me happy - When I got the motherboard it was factory sealed, but it did not come with any screws or studs. Just something to keep in mind if you do not have plenty of extras laying around like I did.
  • Pros: Great motherboard, worked right out of the box perfectly. I was a bit worried due to a bad issue with my last ASUS board, but it is running fine.
  • Cons: See below

  • Pros: Nice heat sinks on board, Bios has tons of great features, put it all together and it worked fine with no problems!

AMAZING System Board

Chad M., Newegg
7 April 2009
  • Summary: grab latest drivers from asus usa.
  • Pros: Smooth install, tons of options, plenty of room to work. The power switch integrated onto the mobo is an awesome idea! Saves a ton of time when testing a system during the build. I have built two systems with this board, soon to be three, and I have had no issues whatsoever. Overclocking software...
  • Cons: original drivers were a bit dated.

Very Happy

A f., Newegg
1 April 2009
  • Summary: Really like this board so far. Glad I spent a few extra dollars to replace the crummy ECS board I RMA'd. Thanks Newegg.
  • Pros: Great quality board. Everything well marked and easy to work with. Loved the Q Connect system - hate dealing with all those front panel cables. Manual very clear and informative. Excellent DVD with all drivers and auxiliary software. BIOS easy to update and change settings. Q Shield (backplate) s...
  • Cons: Minor - Backplate very snug in my older tower case. Really needed a good firm push in two spots to get it to seat evenly. Also, placement of ATX power connection not ideal for me. Butts up against my removable drive cage making removal tricky (watch those cables). May not be a problem for others.
