Excerpt: When buying a PC we first think of configuration and as I was into assembling of PC I thought of buying a good motherboard which would have performance based on RAM, and processor. I choose ASUS as the maker and I trust it. when selecting a board I had many choices and need ASUS M2N SLI Deluxe stands as good choice as per my budget of approximately $287. The issue was that high end motherboards do not come with inbuilt Graphics card.
Summary: Honestly, there are many opinions on Asus, but personally, for me, the only hardware parts that actually have lasted for 5 years after being daily used for hours is Asus - I have an Asus motherboard, had an Asus videocard, Asus Laptop - still got all of them running after years and the quality is well worth the price. If there is one thing i love about PCs, then it sure as hell is Asus.
Summary: The board is OK, but the BIOS and ASUS support is crap. I tried to update to 1804 using ASUS Flash Utility from Win7 - it got stuck not able to verify after flash. When I rebooted the machine it indeed showed 1804, so BIOS got flashed. However, Windows did not boot anymore, Blue Screen of Death - BIOS is not fully ACPI compliant. Then I tried to downgrade to some earlier version that would boot Windows.
Summary: I'm note a big Asus fan, i've built about 15 computers over 20 years, many different parts, many different manufactures of the components. The only pieces of hardware ever to go bad have been Asus, one mother board and one video card. Both caused a lot of frustration and painful debugging. Evenutally i was able to fix the problem by swapping out the components, no problem, the put the old buggy Asus components back in and the same probblems occured.
Summary: Like matt87622 I also had problems with this Asus board and others. First board was a Asus P5N32-E SLI. Board died after 2 months of use, no OC'ing and it was well cooled. Asus sent out a broken replacement twice and I had to pay a fee to get a new board instead of a used board as replacement. I bought this board to use as a PC for a family member. Out of the box 1/2 the USB ports don't work and I can't use the PS/2 ports.
Summary: Asus is crap. I have a p5n32-e from the first month i had it the usb acted funny (wouldn't always see devices) Now the pci slots just stopped working and it's unstable. My friend bought a striker extreme and had to rma it 9 times just to get a good one. (there policy is if you have a problem with your new motherboard they send you a broken used board that was supposedly tested) In short do your self a favor and avoid asus.
Summary: this is a very good motherboard had mine for just over a year now and i cant ask for anything better than this rock solid motherbord. The price wasnt to bad at all to. perfect if your on a budget!!
Summary: I have been running this board for over a year now and am happy with it. I am an Overcolker and have pushed this board to it's limits and had to geta replacement. For more info on this board and pics please see my profile. I would never purchase any other board but ASUS w/Nvidia chipsets. A great bargian!
