Throughout our performance tests, the board generally stayed towards the middle in our graphs. It gave strong competition to Asus’ K8V-X and definitely lead the pack with MSI’s FSR and FIS2R throughout the tests with an exception of maybe one or two. The general usage and gaming performance numbers commonly showed the Asus K8V-SE Deluxe to be a worthy KT800 chipset contender. As far as the layout is concerned, we must say this is perhaps one of the appealing boards... Read more

As you probably already know, AMD plans on dropping the Socket 754 architecture later this year. The last CPU we should see for the Socket 754 should be the Athlon64 3700+ which will run at 2.4GHz and have 1MB of Cache. The last version of the FX CPU has already been made for the Socket 940 boards, AMD will focus solely on Socket 939 in the near future. Does that mean that you shouldn't purchase a Socket 754 board? Well, that depends...if you need a board now, the Socket... Read more

When I got this mobo I was like wow! Asus did a great job in including alot of stuff with this board wheter it would be extra usb ports or the 4 SATA w RAID and IDE RAID. The black color of the mobo is also better than what alot of asus mobos. Bad thing is that the VIA chipset on this makes it not so overclocking friendly. My 3700+ maxes out at 220 which is down from 230-239 from some otherboards with the nForce 3 chipset. Overall this board is rock solid and stable. The... Read more

Everybody knows today M/Bs must be overclockable. This Mobo can't. It is K8t800 based! It has best features but without overclocking. So if you want to buy an expansive mobo with best features And you are not an overclock guy! then buy this m/B. else you should avoid this mobo and try nforce 250 based mobos from epox chaintech and soltek as they are cheap and performs better.
