Pros: worked for awhile, had a gigabyte ga-k8u with the same chipset, board went and took my ati x1300 pro with it,and ive never had a board kill ne thing but itself
Cons: it has a uli chipset, they sound promising with all the great features, but after mabe a month, lockups, bluescreens, irq problems, audio died,DO NOT BUY ULI,TRUST ME IVE REASEARCHED ALL THERE CHIPSET AND THEY ALL LOCKUP,ECT.
Pros: Great price. Nice board. Works great. It has AGP video slot. I have a couple of these running and i have no complaints. It runs stable. It does everything I want it to do. It boots up everytime. I also like the 4 pci slots. What more can you ask for the price?
Summary: RMA'ed this board and ordered a socket 754 nForce 4 4X and I've never been happier with a board. Go with an nForce or a VIA over this.
Pros: Nice BIOS, it's Asus. Excellent shipping/service from newegg.
Cons: Died within a day of receiving it, literally. Shut the machine down for the night, came back the next day and the board was shot. I've always wanted to try out a ULi motherboard, and I guess I've learned something.
Summary: If you get through to anyone at Asus on the phone, ask to speak to Jessie. Unfortunately though, they may still play the "Transfer You to a Different Department" game until someone finally hangs up on you.
Pros: Worked well for about four months or so. Has SATA.
Cons: Computer now restarts when attemtping to install integrated sound card. Onboard NIC fritzes out as well. Asus' customer service was awful.
Summary: This was a reasonable purchase, and you really can't beat the price to performance ratio. I feel like I should have noticed a small difference in performance (I'm coming from a Athlon XP 2700+) but there was no noticable difference.
Pros: Wanted to upgrade Motherboard/Processor without having to dump the extra money to upgrade RAM (I already had PC 3200 RAM).
Cons: Would have been nice to have Gigabit ethernet, but not a necessary addition (it is a value board, of course). Also, upon reinstalling Windows XP I had to install my SATA drivers. PITA, but I had to do that on prior installations as well (I had a Samsung Spinpoint SP1213C drive).
