Pros: A truly user friendly ATX motherboard. Right out of the box this motherboard was a breeze to use, all the way from initial startup to several months of regular day-in and day-out use. Perfect motherboard for gamers who are just getting into building their own system.
Cons: Not really any cons to mention about this motherboard
Cons: Everything, board will not post to even the compatible ram. I have updated the bios and used three types of ram, still no go. Board will work for awhile then not post. I am not happy and most of all my customer is not happy.
Pros: Easy assemble and setup. Nice BIOS features. Board seems very stable.
Cons: On-board RAID function sucks but I have always found that to be the case with any RAID built-in. Even with read ahead and write back settings on RAID1 setup it gets frequent random "hangs" which make for slow saves and not very good for streaming music. Summary: I have had absolutely no problems with this board . There are enough tools and slots are available in this board to keep me happy for at least the next 3-5 years assuming it lives that long I have seen motherboards last for ten years so anything is possible.
Pros: 3 x Pci-e slots, User friendly bios, supports 64GB RAM,
Cons: Requires overclocking to use PC2400 RAM, A lot of people have complained about ASUS customer service. Let's hope nothing goes wrong with the board so that I never have to find out how bad it really is.
Summary: I use it with Win 8.1 and I *like* win 8.1. I still have a desktop. Computer starts up from sleep mode in five seconds (really!) and boots to my desktop (which, even on a cold start, you get to win7 style desktop by clicking on one tile).
Pros: Had it for 8 months with an AMD 10. All told this is the best computer I've ever owned.
Cons: When you set up an SSD it can be a bit tricky because the SSD does not show in the BIOS *unless* it is the ONLY hard drive in the system.
Summary: ASUS called and walked me thru my problems step by step. The board was not posting past the processor. I sent the board back to ASUS, RMA, I'm waiting for the results. You wouldn't believe how much they stand for the quality of their products.
Pros: ASUS service is top notch. Read other thoughts
