Poor form, Asus just lost a customer.

John P., Newegg
9 January 2014
  • Summary: Errors were never rectified. Switched power supplies. Switched RAM. Updated each component's driver to a level newer than Asus's driver page displayed.
  • Pros: When on one of it's 2 hours working stints it is great. Just don't walk away from the desk.
  • Cons: Easily the worst experience I have had in my 10 years as a system builder. Purchased combo deal from Newegg, first found out that Crucial sent out a bad batch of RAM. After installing new batch had same issues. The motherboard would boot windows 7, and then after a certain amount of time go into ...

  • Summary: I've been using ASUS MoBo's for years. This is the first time I've had issues. Looks like I'm not the only one. I'll probably go with a different ASUS product
  • Pros: I like ASUS, always have. Simple layout, and decent features for the price.
  • Cons: Well like others have stated, this particular one I got has issues. At first it was no video(swapped different monitors, different cables...etc). USB ports didn't work either, my keyboard LEDs wouldn't even light up. Now I go back to fill out an RMA and see that it's no longer available.. AAaaah ...

  • Summary: I originally had a problem with no display or post. Later discovered that the MB is rather finicky with the CPU seating. Took a couple tries, but finally got the MB happy.
  • Pros: Cheap, well made
  • Cons: 2 memory slots, no hdmi

Great, but ONLY 3 GB/s SATA!!

JASON K., Newegg
16 October 2013
  • Summary: Could also use USB 3.
  • Pros: Great features for the price, all in a micro ATX. Good documentation and supporting software, as always...can't argue with ASUS.
  • Cons: The SATA is only 3 GB/s...I can't believe they still make boards with that! Or maybe I'm just upset at myself for missing that. At least this is fixable with a pci-e card.

User Review

Christina S., Newegg
10 October 2013
  • Summary: ASUS has always been my trusted name for motherboards, it should be noted that this is the first product from ASUS in my many years I have ever had an issue with. Also, the 4pin 12v is at the very top of the board, so bare this in mind if using a bottom mounted PSU.
  • Pros: For the most part I like the layout; and with only a couple exceptions; works as advertised. Decent quality for a decent price.
  • Cons: Both VGA and DVI ports non functioning out of the box, seems im not the only one with this issue. However, I had an old video card on hand, and am using this for a headless server - so no great loss to me. (I did expect better from ASUS though these things do happen..)
