Summary: Fits in a Fractal Design Core 1000....barely. Scrapped it a bit to get it in. Thankfully I won't have to try and take it out. Also was difficult to get some of the cables to fit because they were right against the edge of the case.
Pros: Works really well, BIOS is very intuitive, the ASUS Suite utility is really handy in allowing you to control fan speed/overclocking.
Cons: Knocking off an egg because I had to update the BIOS, which for some reason was difficult. I couldn't find an easy guide for how to do it, despite Asus's "EZFlash" utility. If I could take off half an egg, I would.
Summary: --Other than the graphics output issue that didn't meet my needs, this board was great. Setup was easy, components seem to have high build quality, and Bios setup was quick and easy.
Pros: Easy Bios setup, USB 3.0, Easy setup just as expected, good build quality.
Cons: - Product description was lacking both from Newegg and ASUS. I ordered this board for an HTPC I was planning on running to two rooms using the DVI and HDMI connections. This is not possible with this board. Can only use HDMI OR DVI + VGA outputs. This wasn't made clear in the description. I have ...
Summary: First AMD based build, first micro-atx, first UEFI, also cobbling in IDE drive from old PC. Had issues booting consistently through bios, until I found that the physical switches had been set to optimize overclocking automatically.
Pros: Asus quality and reputation good price, A75 processing in a micro ATX format
Cons: Documentation spotty or non-existent on the various switches and settings, heat sinks are only lightly springloaded against the components, too easy to accidentally move.
Cons: There is no wake on USB event that I can see in the BIOS. I sent an email to the address listed in the manufacture's canned response to some of the reviews here and no response was forthcoming. I wanted that functionality since I used the board for an HTPC build. The only other problem is that I ...
Pros: Posted on first power up without issue. Loaded Win7 Ultimate and included drivers without skipping a beat. Easy.
Cons: Not so easy... My build was in an Antec nsk2840 and the placement and arrangement of the sata ports was a pita. The ports lay against an interior bulkhead in the case and there is no way to plug into the ports without modifying the case. I had to deconstruct the case, cut a hole for the ports, th...
Summary: I have 2 USB devices showing up in my device manager as missing drivers. I can't figure out what it is looking for as I already installed the USB 3.0 drivers from the disk. It searched the entire driver disk and could not find the drivers needed for these devices.
Pros: Full featured board to complement the 3870K llano. Makes for a great HTPC MB. Everything worked right off the bat.
Cons: SATA ports. They way they are stacked to the edge of the board for a Micro ATX MB, it is nearly impossible to put the cables in after you have bolted the MB down. I had to remove mine, attach the SATA cables, and then put it back again. I knew this was going to be a pain if I ever wanted to add m...
