can't get good customer support

carmine b., Newegg
4 August 2013
  • Summary: How do I update the Bios and or whatever else I can download to update this board? Running Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64Bit AMD A8-3870K Unlocked Llano 3.0GHz Socket FM1 100W Quad-Core Desktop APU (CPU + GPU) with DirectX 11 Graphic AMD Radeon HD 6550D AD3870WNGXBOX...
  • Pros: seems to have run decent enough the last 14 months but bogs down with more than 60 windows open but only using 24% of CPU and 13gb of the ram i haven't tried any new games on it though
  • Cons: can't get good customer support when trying to find out what RAM to buy to upgrade. sent me an email with ram none saying 8gb stick (32gb) at 1866 only 4gb sticks unless I want to use 1600 and the qualified vendors list doesn't even mention running 64gb though the description says it will

Anonymous, Newegg
24 June 2013
  • Pros: N/A
  • Cons: failed within weeks and the board was sent back for repair. now 3 weeks after, the board is on it's way to me and ASUS messed up my address and they won't even contact fedex to change the address. probably going to have to wait another 3 weeks to get the motherboard back to my client. Dell ships ...

Good Performance, No WOL support

Pradyot G., Newegg
27 March 2013
  • Pros: Great performance. Great plug and play. Great integrated graphics support.
  • Cons: No WOL support, really? Even cheapos do that these days. MB cant update directly, you have to download and then update. Not a biggy, but why have the option when it cant.

It's a lemon

Wayne R., Newegg
26 March 2013
  • Summary: Skip this one if you want a motherboard to work.
  • Pros: The specs are amazing for the value.. only if l could use them though...
  • Cons: Tried several times to determine the issue of no signal from Mobo. Evemnthe TV through HDMI is a no-go! Just no signal... Waiting to call Asus and see if it's actually the motherboard but other reviewers confirmed that it's obviously a known issue.

Worked... For a While, Bad Customer Service

Horng-An N., Newegg
23 February 2013
  • Summary: This motherboard would have been nice, but it broke after a few months. Even worse is that the ASUS customer service has been pretty much non-existent. I haven't been able to get any help, even though my product should still be under the warranty.
  • Pros: Effective 4 RAM slots 2 PCI-e
  • Cons: SATA connectors in awkward orientation UNIT BROKE AFTER A FEW MONTHS UNREACHABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Nice, but...

Robert S., Newegg
15 February 2013
  • Summary: The overhead of sending this board back is not worth it to me for the performance increase of dual channel. But, I am disappointed. Too bad, because I have had great luck in the past with ASUS. I have probably built 10 systems using their boards over the years.
  • Pros: Seems to be a well built board, BIOS is nice, lots of options, reasonable set of USB ports. Stable in single channel memory mode.
  • Cons: Nothing I can do to get this board to work in dual-channel memory mode with 2x4GB G.Skill RipJaws X memory (F3-14900CL9D-8GBXL) [N82E16820231455]. The memory works fine in single channel mode (A+A2 or B1+B2) , but fails in 1024 locations in dual channel (A1+B1 or A2+B2 with several bits incorrect...
