Summary: I bought this board to run a Debian-based NAS box. Setup of NAS went relatively smoothly, and I was up and running a 3-disk RAID-5 Array for main backups + 2 single disks for individual Windows computer backups.
Pros: * Theoretically speedy, nice options on board for price * Easy to install / setup (physically)
Cons: * Constant issues with Linux (Debian, Wheezy) * IRQ Interrupts cause system-wide slowdown and instability * No proper Linux support from ASUS
It work fine but NOT compatible with Linux boot loader

Summary: This is my second board. Board 1 was DOA out of the box. Newegg replaced it with another. I have just coaxed windows 7 premium on it and got everything up to date. When I put it to sleep and wait 10-15 minutes to wake up no problems. But If I put it to sleep and wait over an hour or two the...
