Summary: Read the Linux hardware reviews that said this board is stable and plug-n-play. Not entirely true- I had to install the proprietary AMD Catalyst drivers by command line to get usable video under Ubuntu 12.04 (Mythbuntu 12.04). Had a few issues that appear to be driver related- MythTv would hog the memory through Unity by trying to draw outside of the screen window (I changed the resolution to a larger size that matched my MythTV theme to fix this one) and when power...
Summary: This is my second purchase of this motherboard. I initially purchased one to upgrade my wife's PC. She loves it, and I liked it so much, I then purchased another one of the same to upgrade my own PC. Very nice motherboard.
Summary: Put this motherboard a stick of RAM and a hard drive in a case and you've got a great basic PC. Speed, video, etc are all satisfactory on office apps, web surfing etc. The processor runs so cool you don't even need to use the CPU fan.

Summary: I purchase this board intended to be a Linux desktop/server. I was able to install Ubuntu Linux. However there was a problem with Grub boot loader. The keyboard (both USB and PS/2) does not work with the grub boot loader. It makes dual-boot (or multiple boot) almost impossible with this board. The workaround was to install multiple OS on multiple HDDs and use the BIOS boot option to boot into the HDD with the desired OS.
Summary: Searched long for a board to build a NAS after two Netgear ReadyNAS'es died on me prematurely. I knew I wanted NAS4Free with the great ZFS file system that puts all other FS to shame. ZFS is really designed to handle the huge capacities and inherent problems of modern servers. The NAS4Free install went flawlessly with this board. No NIC, audio or others issues. Only a third party PCI board with additional USB3.0 ports was not recognised.
Summary: This isn't a speed demon. You probably won't be able to play games on it. But it's absolutely great for office-y tasks or general internet browsing. I'm running Ubuntu 12.10 on mine, with 8 gigabytes of ram, with no problems. And it's only using ~30 watts of power.
Summary: I've been using computer with a single core processor for close to a decade now. When I saw this combo and looked at the specs, I knew it would be able to do everything I needed and because it's not a just-released product the price was great. It has optical out for my amp, HDMI out for my tv, USB 3.0 for my external drive, more than enough SATA connections inside for all my peripherals and it uses very little power in comparison to my old system.
Summary: I bought this board for my home server. The supplied CD does not run with Windows 2003 for automatic driver installation. The XP driver for the ethernet port is compatible with Win 2003. Once you install the ethernet driver, allow the OS to go online and download the rest of the drivers. The board is fast enough for my needs. It has 5 SATA ports. All are 6 Mb/s speed. No PATA/IDE. It has IEEE 1394, HDMI/DVI/VGA. Audio is Realtek, but I am not using it.
