Summary: I placed an order for this particular board in hopes of using it in a HTPC enviorment coupled with a Lian Li PC60. This board is loaded with pretty much everything you can think of in terms of expandability and future proofing.
Summary: Trying to get Netflix to work with ubuntu was too much of a problem for me. I decided to just buy Windows 7 instead.
Pros: Very Small Motherboard although I did have a bit of a problem installing it into a M350 Universal ITX Enclosure. If anyone is using that case make sure you install the pico power supply first before you install the Ram.
Cons: My CPU Temp got up to 72 degrees just for leaving it on for about an hour. This might have to do with the M350 case being so small and I didn't install a case fan. I am going to buy a case fan to move some air through the case to see if it helps.
Summary: I don't think I would recommend this board, as much as I wanted to like it. The main draw is the fanless operation, which probably isn't the case (as also noted by another reviewer). This board has no place to mount a fan, so I have yet to decide what to do there.
Pros: Motherboard had all the features I really wanted in a media center PC (streaming HD content to TV / audio system).
Cons: 2 problems. 1 small, 1 large. 1. The small issue: The RAM I installed first (Crucial CT25664BA1067) would not allow the motherboard to post (no video output). I thought I got lucky because that memory is explicitly stated as compatible in the manual (but not online). I'm not sure if my ram was ba...
Summary: In summary...not quite ready for prime time HTPC use (at least for my set up).
Cons: 1. I would have said quiet in the PROS...but watching a streamed ISO put the CPU temps over 90 degrees. Forced me to use a fan. So sorta quiet. 2. DIMMs...would not accept two 4 GB chips. Had to set the voltage manually and then it would only boot once before crashing. 3. I bought this for HTPC u...
