Worked well...ish

Kyle, Amazon
18 September 2013
  • Summary: If this product worked better then I would be much happier. I just built my new gaming rig and included this inside. I used all new parts. I even tested all of my new parts in the old rig. They worked fine. When I am gaming, it will start to freeze. Then my on-board audio cuts out.

Great when it works

Deadman, Amazon
2 August 2013
  • Summary: I purchased this motherboard and very select other pieces and custom built a smoking machine for my wife. Granted she will never use all the power I put into this board but I had the money and wanted to do it all right. After about a year the machine would not boot.

Doesn't overclock AMD 8350

Josh, Amazon
14 April 2013
  • Summary: Originally when I got this board I had an AMD 8150. The motherboard worked just fine. Then I bought an AMD 8350 which work fine at a stock speed. But since this is an overclocking Motherboard, I wanted to overclock it.

Bit Late to the party

Anthony A., Newegg
22 February 2013
  • Summary: Wishing the RMA, Service net information was more readily available. I really just want my money back to buy a new board (likely through new egg, every other part is completely fine) just no more ASUS.
  • Pros: Pretty. Sleek. Ran well while it lasted.
  • Cons: Well, it ended up dying, without provocation within the last week or so. Seems to be a defect with the board handling its USB ports and the power consumption of those ports. I tried going through ASUS for their warranty, but it's just completely impossible to get a hold of them. The standard Run-...

RMA Nightmare

Malcolm G., Newegg
30 January 2013
  • Summary: If you're an Intel person, stick with it. You're less likely to have so many headaches and is widely supported unlike AMD.
  • Pros: I've gotten it to work for more than a day.
  • Cons: I've had to RMA each and every one of my boards within a few days of getting it. The first one the CPU Q-LED came on after a few days after blue screening. The second one, the nic was DOA. Had to RMA it, but at least with a network cards (PCI), I was about to use it. Also, I've come to find that ...

Not Looking Good

Michael M., Newegg
29 December 2012
  • Pros: Allot of different features, good if you need to plug allot of stuff into.
  • Cons: hasn't worked longer than a week and i've fried one SSD drive and looks like the other is going to go now. Haven't been able to get this thing running right since i got it. Flashed the bios 10 different times now and still not working correctly. I'm hoping it was just this mobo. Be warned allot o...

mixed

Vinicio C., Newegg
26 September 2012
  • Summary: Newegg has always been great with their customer service. Asus, however, does not. After telling me that I had to pay for the repair, I asked the service engineer for information about the damage and what could have caused it. The service engineer ignored my request and shipped the board back.
  • Pros: Amazing overclocking ability and stability aside from wide number of features.
  • Cons: Got a lemon! The bios takes forever to post 2-7min then win7 loads fine. Cannot change memory speed to factory setting. It wants to default to jadec setting and crashes when you put anything else. The GPU was downclocking until a bios update fixed it. Asus was no help with any of these issues. As...

Nice Looking Board! Couldnt even use it!

Danilo C., Newegg
22 September 2012
  • Pros: See Cons >:(
  • Cons: This board gave me problems as soon as it posted. Couldn't find my SSD at first, then when it did it ran ridiculously slow. This is just utterly ridiculous. It took at least 15 min to boot up Windows 7 on a SATA 3 (6 Gb/s) drive and at least 45 min to install Windows 7. I never got to really use ...

Good motherboard, but...

john k., Newegg
18 August 2012
  • Summary: If it weren't for my friend having a Bigfoot 2100 he was willing to sell, I would not have had access to the 'net on my gaming PC, which is a major NOPE. This seems to be a common issue with this board, and has no reliable fixes. -2 eggs for the LAN issue -1 egg for the other two cons.
  • Pros: +Lots of useful features +Looks great +Sturdy board, minimal bending when installing parts +PLENTY of USB ports
  • Cons: -Onboard LAN was busted out of the box. Not good, at all. Read other thoughts. -The padding on the inside of the back panel cover made it so the board wouldn't fit into either of my cases properly. Had to tear the padding off entirely, no big deal though. -Some of the screw holes in the motherboa...

Paul H., Newegg
5 August 2012
  • Pros: It works for the most part thats about it
  • Cons: I bought this board to overclock my Phenom 2 1100T until I the fx 8170 come out. I tried both the eufi and the AI 2 software to overclock. for one thing this board sucks at overclocking yes you have alot of options but not the options to really make this work correctly I mean I had a cheap asus m...
