Summary: I loved my Crosshair III motherboard for many years and this seemed like a logical choice when purchasing a new build. I am happy with the features and the design of the build. Very glad they got rid of the strange packaged sound cards and built it into the design of the board. The only feature missing that I loved from the III was the LED indicators for temperature on the MB next to the fan imports.
Summary: Originally I expected to open the box and a ton of things would pop out if it (knowing asus with their ROG products) but it was subtle, an easy unboxing including what you need and a little bit of fancy things. It comes with good drivers and an above great audio driver. This is the best AMD motherboard I've ever owned/seen.
Pros: -Amazing bios (well... UEFI)., -Amazing overclocking abilities., -Great support., -very good power management., -Overclocking is a breeze., -Comes with a cool ROG crossfire and SLI bridge, -SupremeFXIII audio card for great audio.
Cons: -(Not THAT important but...) no dual ethernet ports.
Summary: Great board. Upgrading from a smaller asus. This new board's bios is particularly impressive. Like the fact that I can use a mouse and everything while tweaking whatever I want. It's totally worth it!
Summary: equipped w AMD 9370, 16 gigs kingston hyper x beast. Cooler Master haf xm case, seidon 240 liquid cooler . Intel ssd gets things going. Booted first try. Processor clocked to 5.0 ghz easily. If it lasts I am very happy..
Summary: Mine is a Formula Z also. However,I got delayed in doing my build and have had the board over 30 days. Sp, when I put my USB keyboard into one of the top USB ports, it told me it saw 3 keyboards. So I changed to using the same keyboard plugged into one of those adapters that goes from USB to the round with pin ports. Works. I ordered another RAM stick. The diagram, Pg 1-9, is poor. The only way I have gotten them both to work is using slots A1 and B1.
Excerpt: Well I bought mine at Micro Center along with a 8350 cpu to update my old fx 6100/ m5a97 motherboard.I can tell you speed wise and gaming performance has gone up ALOT!.... Certin games I play have picked up 40-50 fps But I mainly play older games so you might wanna look into that further~ As far as features go this Motherboard has it all And I would consider this Amd s Flagship motherboard!
