Bad mother board

Pros: probabley a good product if it is good from factory
Cons: just put together, had on shelf for some time I build them as needed but, on board ethernet does not work, had the geek squad look at, they recomend sending back, but I can't, remember 30 days is all they give you. Little discusted, have to except this, unless new egg replaces this board, Ive bou...
Summary: I have always had luck with ASUS, so did not think it was my board at first. Buying extra CPU's and sticks of memory is NOT cheap. Fortunately I was able to use them in another build.
Pros: Lot's of options, ESATA works well, USB3.0, Crossfire on this board worked flawless (not so with my previous Gigabyte)
Cons: It has always had memory errors when testing the memory. At first I blamed the memory... replaced that to no effect. Then I tried replacing the CPU thinking it had a bad memory controller, that had no effect either. That only leaves the MB. Since it worked and would not BDOD or crash, I kept usin...
Summary: I'd always associated Asus with quality before but now, particularly as it looks more and more like my board isn't going to get replaced, I can no longer recommend anything Asus.
Pros: For the year I had it, it was great, couldn't ask for a better board.
Cons: After a year of tried and true service, it randomly went out. I hadn't even overclocked anything. But at just that it would have been, "well that's annoying, but things happen, and woot 3yr warranty!" Sadly, the moment I started talking to support, everything went downhill. From day one they have...
Summary: After months of great performance and zero problems, I came home after work one day and my computer had shut down and my room smelled like ozone/burnt electronic components. The computer would not boot so I started removing RAM, video card, etc...to diagnose the problem.
Pros: I built a custom PC 6 months ago using this ASUS Crosshair IV Formula board. I never had a single problem. Everything worked great from day one...In fact, I haven't even opened the case again since day one.... If you're looking to spend about $200 for a great motherboard that will last about 6 mo...
Cons: HORRIBLE ASUS CUSTOMER SUPPORT Don't expect ASUS to replace anything under warranty. They will come up with any excuse and blame any manufacturing defect on the user.
Summary: It would be a great motherboard if it worked rite out of the box.
Pros: Great looking motherboard and good features.
Cons: After installing it the CPU LED light would not shut off to continue the bios post. After trouble shooting it and removing everything but the power to the motherboard including the CPU the motherboard stayed running.from expeirance it is not supposed to run. It is not newegg fault it is asus.
Summary: If you review the comments here, it appears that about 25% of the boards have an issue, and they are all about the same, BSOD, memory issues, etc. If you want to take the risk go for it. IF you manage to get a good board you will probably be happy. I would keep looking though.
Pros: When it works, it works well. Very fast, worked well for gaming. Easy options/interface for O.C. Good layout. Sharp looking.
Cons: About as reliable as a house of cards in a tornado. BSOD regularly. Swapped RAM, HD, flashed BIOS (that made it even worse), complete wipe and reinstall of Windows 7 (multiple times), nothing worked. After a year of pain, I pulled board and RMA'd. Confirmed by ASUS to be a faulty board. Have been...
Summary: I thought about RMAing the board, but it seems to be less of a QC issue, and more of a design flaw. ROG seems to assume you'll throw out the heatsinks and immediately go to a liquid cooling setup.
Pros: Amazing features like I said on my original review, I suppose if you liquid cool the whole thing it'll work great.
Cons: The northbridge heat-sink is complete garbage, its purely for aesthetics and does a terrible job cooling that component. I has a slight gab from the northbridge itself, and doesn't even completely cover the entire component. Mine idles at around 50C, in a HAF X, with 5 HUGE fans, one blowing air ...
Summary: I would only recommend this motherboard if it actually worked for any length of time!! Garbage!!!!!!
Pros: Was very fast and had all the newer technology (USB 3.0, Sata III).
Cons: Lasted about 2 weeks when the CPU light came on for the POST checks and would not go out. Also, the power and reset buttons stopped working and would not allow me to shut off the computer. I had to hard start it a couple times to even get it to boot up, and now nothing the lights come on and neve...
Summary: Even after multiple techs from our hired support company at my office AND the retailer (Best Buy) said this should never have happened/it was way too easy...Asus support immediately told me "customer error". It's their go-to on their RMA as well. Anything physical at all is grounds for refusal.
Pros: It performed admirably for several months. I can honestly say I enjoyed the performance upgrade from this motherboard more than any other single hardware upgrade in the past.
Cons: About 6 weeks ago, I noted that my computer was only registering 3 of the 4 cores of my processor. I looked it up and found that this was fixable by removing bios battery and resetting. While doing this, I noticed how firm/tight my vid cards were (needed to remove them to reach battery). Top slot...
Pros: Excellent Motherboard with good O.C control. Will work great for the first 6 months.
Cons: I've had TWO separate motherboard (one bought locally to replace mine ASAP after it blew.) of these fail within 6 months of installation. I'm a huge ASUS fan, but with two separate sets of failure back to back on the same board, I am quite disappointed. I'm going to skip any further ASUS products.
