Summary: I would love some help on this issue.
Pros: Works good everything I really expected.
Cons: I think something is wrong with the internet port. Might be a driver? Don't know but every time I have to many browsers open it blue screens, every time i'm playing a game online.. and so forth. When I do anything offline everything works well.
Summary: I had certain requirements when looking for a board: AMD processor DDR3 3-way SLI This was impossible to find but this board came the closest to what I wanted. Yes this thing has all the bells and whistles one could ask for, a great plus.
Summary: looks nice and works, never used the overclock function built into it but im sure its nice too. If your buying this for the build in sound card I would not recommend doing so as it turns out I will be having to buy one even though i own this mobo.
Cons: Doesnt support optical output for my astro a40s and the mic jack is horrible i have tried 3 mics and they all come out being EXTREMELY quiet and has a horrible buzzing noise. even with the mic boosted all the way its quiet.
Summary: For those with a fairly standard setup, this is a great board. For the true enthusiast, it's a little lacking for the price. Customer support is limited to "working on it" canned responses.
Pros: More features than you can imagine, great BIOS options for overclocking, amazing looks, best AM3 board out there on first glance...
Cons: Poor customer support, BIOS updates are few and far between, no support for bootable PCI-E SSDs (Revo, IBIS, etc). Occasional disabling of cores on Thuban processors (5 cores detected, etc) with Core Unlocker enabled. Buggy.
Summary: I wouldn't buy this again its not really worth the price and until there is better drivers I wouldn't recommend it. I would love to get a sound card installed and possibly a wifi card.
Pros: This mobo looks very pretty. Has lots of space for GPUs. 3x 16xPCIe.
Cons: I dont like the bios update software or the boot skin software that came with this board. Terrible drivers. This costs to much for what you really get. A ROG Asus high end board should be bug free and more stable. Ok so this is my main problem with this board right now: I get a strange hiss that ...
Summary: EDIT: See end of post for update after 1 and 1/2 years of ownership. This is one of the most feature complete boards I have ever personally seen. I needed it specifically for it's support of both Crossfire and SLI. However I have had nothing but trouble from this from the very start.
Summary: Thinking of upgrading - would love this for the "CrossLinx" video capabilties and upgrading to a DDR3 MoBo...but not liking the LAN probs I checked the ASUS website - and a Google seach turns it up faster: new Intel LAN drivers have very recently been released (ASUS site says Nov 10) - wondering if...
Summary: PLEASE rectify this problem soon Asus! I really don't want to have to return this mobo.
Pros: I love everything about this board... almost. I love the design of the BIOS, the flexibility, the future possibilities (hey, I might find a use for USB 3.0 one day). Unlike some others, I even like most of the Asus tools!
Cons: Like others, I have a BSOD issue with the ethernet controller. I've tried the drivers on the Asus website, new drivers from Intel, but when running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit, it will randomly crash - A LOT - when streaming youtube, netflix, etc. What a horrible flaw in an otherwise great board! I'm ge...
