Still decent

Patrick B., Newegg
30 October 2014
  • Pros: James J is smoking something good if he thinks core for core socket 939 cpu's are even remotely close to todays cpu's. With that said 939 cpu's do still function and if you are not a power user they still serve a good purpose.
  • Cons: None really

Built in 2006, STILL RUNNING STRONG!!

James J., Newegg
11 April 2013
  • Pros: It will be 7 years old on April 20th. I built a bleeding edge workstation back in 2006. I have never had a single issue from my ASUS A8N32-SLI deluxe nor my AMD FX-60. I am STILL using this as my main workstation today. Core for core on single threaded applications, this STILL beats even today's ...
  • Cons: Only con is this was the LAST AMD socket 939 they ever built. SO there was no more upgrade path left, save for faster RAM and a new video card and hard drives.

Rock-Solid MB

Paul P., Newegg
25 January 2013
  • Summary: This MB was my primary rig, until I put together a new Intel i5 2500K system over the summer and paired it with an ASUS Z68 MB. I hope the Z68 lasts as long as this one has.
  • Pros: I bought this motherboard in January of 2007 and it is still running strong. Never had any issues. It is now acting as a Windows 2008 R2 file, print, DC, DNS and DHCP server for my home network. The number of pci-e (two 16x and one 4x) slots has allowed me to not only have video, but also an Adap...
  • Cons: None at all. Still running strong after 6 years!

Awesome MoBo

Paul B., Newegg
21 August 2012
  • Pros: This Motherboard is very stable and a great over clocker.
  • Cons: The Fan less design requires a healthy breeze to keep all the components cool.

long lasting

Christopher S., Newegg
2 May 2012
  • Summary: I had bought a second board after acquiring a 3800+ and decided to use it for my server with my 4400+ that wouldn't OC at all. It was running that until about 6 months or so ago when it got another 3800+ and it's still running away. Win Server 2008 R2.
  • Pros: This thing has been a rock. Running as my server since I got it with seldom shutdowns for cleaning out.
  • Cons: Socket 939 is now dead. =(

Solid

Chris J., Newegg
23 January 2012
  • Summary: Just now replacing it with an AM3+ AsRock board, it has been rock solid and a great performer all these years. Don't forget to update the bios and enable the memory hole for 4gb ram.
  • Pros: Rock Solid!
  • Cons: Too bad SKT939 didn't last longer.

Bulletproof

Jeremiah P., Newegg
25 November 2011
  • Summary: This thing lasted through two deployments in hell and is still running solid. The shipping across the world and sand storms have not had one effect on it. As far as Newegg's shipping, it took weeks to get packages from family but it never took longer than a week to get my toys from them.
  • Pros: Fast, reliable, quiet, looks nice.
  • Cons: Does not morph into a newer model.

Sheep are "Doomed"...

Larry B., Newegg
15 April 2011
  • Summary: DoomSheep, it is pronounced A-SUS, as in PegASUS- the mythological "Winged Horse"... & check 'your' spelling, before criticising a Multi-Million Dallar Corporations Pronounced Name. ..
  • Pros: Bought this board just months after the A8N-SLI Deluxe (dual x8 PCI-E Graphics bandwidth - late '05) and it is extremely nice. Took my LC'd Athlon X2 4800 and to its limit. This was the first Dual x16 PCIe graphics bandwidth I had found & I put way to much $ into it... I ran 2 XFX 7950GT 550M 512...
  • Cons: S. Bridge did run a bit HOT 80% of the time and after 2 yrs. I finally added a Swiftech MCW30 LCing Block, re-routing & MODDING the Copper heatsink system.

Board has served me 5 good years

Steven L., Newegg
11 January 2011
  • Pros: We bought this board and built my gaming rig back in 2006 as a graduation present. This board has served me well for 5 years and 3 upgrades. I've been able to handle most games on this board though recently it has not been able to handle newer games at highest quality. Regardless, it's lasted me ...
  • Cons: -A8N32-SLI-Deluxe had a problem with the Windows XP Service Pack 3 installing on the PC and gave it the reboot loop for the longest. For about 2-3 months I refused to reboot it until I found a solution to the reboot loops on an online forum. -Sometimes ran hot (60c+) stock when under heavy load s...
