Summary: I bought this MB for the lpt port. Mach 3 runs perfect using the lpt port right out of the box. A88XM-PLUS/CSM $96 AMD A10 7850K $189 Cooler Master N200 Case $54 8 gig Ram $89 Win7 PRO 32 bit $70 500 gig SATA HD $59 Corsair CX Series 600 Watt $79 Diablotek HAWKPECK 2.4GHZ Wireless Mouse & Keyboard $28 Total Build $664
Summary: Excellent motherboard, excellent features (love FanXpert2 :D), updated bios to latest version very easy, installed all drivers with no problem, windows 8.1 64 bit works great, switching RAM from 1600Mhz to 2133Mhz was very easy, currenty using it with A10-7850k & G.Skill Sniper 2133Mhz 8GB, i would recommend it for budget builds ;)
Summary: After reading all of the reviews on here I was really nervous that this case wouldn't work with the Kaveri APU I bought with it. Out of the box it was running BIOS version 0601 which does not support the A10-7850K. However, I had prepared a flash drive with BIOS revision 1102 in advance and was able to get into the UEFI and flash the BIOS before even attempting to boot the OS. With revision 1102 I have not encountered issues with the A10-7850K.
Pros: * No issues with my Kaveri (A10-7850K) using this board
Cons: * Doesn't seem to have any sensors recognized by lm-sensors, but you can see accurate temperature information in the UEFI.
Summary: There are so many bad reviews on this board because people did not do proper research before buying their parts. ASUS clearly states this board needs to have it's Firmware updated BEFORE it will support Kavari.
Pros: Worked Right out of the box. 8 SATA III ports makes a great HTPC/Media Server
Cons: 5 of the SATA III ports are @ a 90 degree angle . Only a con because the case I used was a little difficult to attach a couple of the cables. So no eggs subtracted.
Top Quality, Full Featured motherboard. Fastest Win 7 boot times i have seen.

Summary: This is the nicest MicroATX Motherboard i have ever set up. ASUS UEFI motherboards are always a breeze, and this is no different. In fact, it seems they have made a few positive tweaks to the layout of some options in the advanced menu compared to my 2012-2013 ASUS motherboards. The Compatibility Support Module is also improved over previous ASUS boards.
Summary: This board is well designed and has every bell and whistle. Moves fast and is easy to install. I love how the connections are set up and the new type of BIOS is a great idea. It shows you ALL information. Every single chips temperature and all fans speed. It also allows you to easily customize the board on different settings.
Pros: Fast great design! Plenty of SATA connections and has all pin connections for USB and ESATA and such. Looks great and has many amazing features. A good AMD processor and this board together will blow away a PS4 and XBOX one in gaming graphics and processing.
Cons: Very hard to get Video to work correctly. Board and GPU technology are newer and have yet to be perfected.
Summary: When paired with a A88XM-PLUS/CSM, unboxing the A10-7700K was like letting a feral cat out of a sack. Other parts: ddr3-1600, hybrid hdd, pcp&c power The A88XM-PLUS/CSM features all of the overclocking settings you could need. It also has the requisite cooler for the (more than capable) 4+2 phase VRM. tl;dr; I pressed the 'OC Tune' button in the bios, rebooted, and here's the result. Results were obtained using the retail heatsink and TIM.
Pros: 1. 4+2 phase VRM, 2. VRM has decent cooling (combine with active cooling), 3. Windows 8 secure boot compliant, 4. Bios features are the same as more expensive siblings
Cons: 1. Some stock will not post with Kaveri. Needs older gen APU to update the bios.
Summary: I have been trying to convince my friend that building your own PC is better then buying a pre-built for about 6 months. He is getting it for his son as his first PC. Finally saw this board in a really nice combo http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?
Pros: Once you flash the bios it works with Kaveri. I knew that going in so I was prepared for it or at least I thought I was.
Cons: With a Kaveri installed it will not post with the bios that it shipped with. Since it will not post you cannot get into the UEFI to flash it to current.
Summary: System is using Kaveri A10-7850k at stock speeds and 2x4gb of G.Skill DDR3 2133. I have tried every troubleshooting step I can think of from different monitors, different cables, using one stick of ram, GPU Boost on, GPU Boost off, clearing the CMOS (multiple times) and nothing gets any output from dvi or hdmi.
Pros: Very fast USB 3 transfer
Cons: No DVI or HDMI output on two separate boards. I updated both boards to the latest 1002 firmware, using the latest AMD chipset drivers from the Asus website, and using the AMD Beta graphics drivers for Kaveri. I could not get any output from the dvi or hdmi on either board that I had. No POST screens, no BIOS screens and no Windows. VGA works fine. This is the first (and second) time I have received a bad ASUS product.
